  • Patent number: 9764683
Abstract: A headlamp device for a motor vehicle includes a segmented light source, which has individually deactivatable light source segments for generating a glare-free main beam with the aid of an automatic dimming system. The headlamp device is configured such that one or more regions in the main beam distribution of the headlamp device can be suppressed selectively by deactivating individual light source segments. Each light source segment in the activated state lights up a main beam segment region with a respectively preset width in the main beam distribution of the headlamp. The width of the main beam segment region is preset in the main beam segment region depending on an expected average dynamic of objects to avoid dazzling under normal traffic conditions.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: September 7, 2016
Date of Patent: September 19, 2017
Assignee: GM GLOBAL TECHNOLOGY OPERATIONS LLC
Inventors: Justus Illium, Thomas Feid, Rouven Haberkorn, Ingolf Schneider, Michael Bang

  • Patent number: 7469780
Abstract: The present invention relates to an apparatus (1) for a sorting system comprising an activating member (2), a fastening bracket (3), and a discharge arm (4) which at an end part (5) is pivotally connected with the fastening bracket (3) at a side (6) of a conveyor (7), where the discharge arm (4) by means of the activating member (2) is adapted for being swung between a passive position (9) approximately parallel to the side (6) of the conveyor (7) and a number of active angular positions (8) in relation to the conveying direction (A) of the conveyor (7), where the activating member (2) comprises an electrically driven stepping motor or servomotor having a control unit being adapted for determining a pattern of motion and/or speed profile of the discharge arm (4).

  • Publication number: 20020096849
Abstract: A trick bar for a foot scooter including a pair of generally parallel elongated support arms having first ends thereof attached to a rear end of the foot scooter. A foot bar extends across second ends of the support arms. A wheel is supported intermediate the first and second ends of the support arms so as to rest a distance above the ground on which the foot scooter rests. The wheel is rotatable about an axle that extends across the support arms intermediate the first and second ends thereof. Upon application of downward pressure on the foot bar, a front end of the foot scooter raises off the ground and the trick bar wheel contacts the ground to permit the rider of the scooter to perform tricks. The support arms are preferably pivotally attached to the foot scooter so as to be folded over the foot scooter during non-use.
