  • Publication number: 20100230427
Abstract: A waste cart includes a container having a wall, with a pocket formed in an outer surface of the wall that creates a first sidewall facing a second sidewall, with an opening formed in both sidewalls. A grab bar has a free-sliding end and a retention end. The free-sliding end is inserted through the opening in the first sidewall, and the retention end is inserted through the opening in the second sidewall. The retention end includes a retainer for securing the grab bar with respect to the second sidewall. In the current embodiment, the grab bar includes a snap element near the retention end and a flange portion between the snap element and the free-sliding end. • Patent number: 7785912
Abstract: A piezo-TFT cantilever microelectromechanical system (MEMS) and associated fabrication processes are provided. The method comprises: providing a substrate, such as glass for example; forming thin-films overlying the substrate; forming a thin-film cantilever beam; and simultaneously forming a TFT within the cantilever beam. The TFT is can be formed least partially overlying a cantilever beam top surface, at least partially overlying a cantilever beam bottom surface, or embedded within the cantilever beam. In one example, forming thin-films on the substrate includes: selectively forming a first layer with a first stress level; selectively forming a first active Si region overlying the first layer; and selectively forming a second layer overlying the first layer with a second stress level. The thin-film cantilever beam is formed from the first and second layers, while the TFT source/drain (S/D) and channel regions are formed from the first active Si region.

  • Patent number: 7771472
Abstract: Disclosed is an assembly for loading a bronchial flow control device into a container, such as into a delivery catheter. The assembly includes a funnel housing and a puller housing that mate with one another. The funnel housing defines a funnel-shaped loading cavity that receives a flow control device and that gradually reduces in size moving in a first direction. The puller housing is removably attached to the funnel housing and is also removably attachable to a bronchial flow control device that can be positioned in the loading cavity. The puller housing pulls the bronchial flow control device in the first direction through the funnel housing to gradually contract the bronchial flow control device into a compressed state of reduced size relative to the expanded state.

  • Patent number: 7631191
Abstract: The present invention provides for an icon with an additional level of functionality that allows a user to validate that current information (e.g., a web page) originates from the true owner of the icon and is not merely a copy. The method includes a user requesting a web page from a web site using a web browser. The web server receives the request, retrieves the web page and forwards it to an authentication server. The authentication server inserts an authenticity key into the web page, then the page (including the authenticity key) is returned to the user. If the page includes an authenticity key, the authenticity is verified at the user's computer because the user computer includes logic (e.g., software) to verify the authenticity. During the user configuration process, the user defines an authenticity stamp which determines the format of an authenticated page.

  • Publication number: 20090259749
Abstract: The collection of performance data at multiple servers in a SAN and forwarding that data to a centralized server for analysis is disclosed. Remote agents and a central server application collect specific interesting negative event data to enable a picture of the operational health of the SAN to be determined. The agents are placed in servers having HBAs acting as initiators. The agents interact with the HBAs through a driver stack to collect event data. Because of the initiator function they perform, HBAs have visibility to parts of the network that other entities do not have access to, and thus are ideal locations for gathering event data. A SAN diagnostics manager then pulls the collected data from each agent so that a “picture” of the SAN can be developed. In addition to collecting initiator data, the agents also collect errors and performance data from the OS of the servers.

  • Publication number: 20090248307
Abstract: This invention relates in general to measuring depth of well-tools, such as logging tools or the like, in a borehole. Embodiments of the present invention may provide for disposing conducting areas along a wireline that may be used to suspend and move the well-tool in the borehole, where the conducting areas may be disposed along the wireline at predetermined locations. A reader may be located at a reference location and may read when a conducting area passes through the reference location and this information may be used to determine the depth of the well-tool in the borehole. Additionally, this invention provides for combining depth measurements from the conducting areas with measurements from odometer wheels in frictional contact with the wireline and/or time of flight measurements of optical pulses passed along a fiber optic cable coupled with the wireline to accurately and robustly measure the depth of the wireline in the borehole.

  • Patent number: 7487184
Abstract: A method, system, and computer program product are provided for improved round robin for time series data. The method includes receiving user inputs specifying a time period and a sample rate for collection of delta samples. Each delta sample represents a difference between two subsequent values of the time series data. The method further includes accumulating the delta samples over the time period in accordance with the sample rate, calculating a field size based on a maximum one of the delta samples, and writing the delta values to the database using the calculated field size. The database is relatable to a plurality of records. Each record corresponds to a respective time period for delta sample collection and has an adjustable field size for delta sample storage based on a maximum delta sample value for the respective time period.

  • Patent number: 7431207
Abstract: To process a commercial transaction, a merchant receives a card payment request from a customer. The merchant redirects the customer to the card issuer. The authorization computer of the card issuer communicates with the customer and authenticates the identity of the customer as the true cardholder of the card presented for payment. In a first embodiment, the merchant submits an authorization request in response to a card payment request to the authorization computer. The merchant receives an authorization confirmation from the authorization computer upon authentication of the identity of the cardholder. In a second embodiment, the customer receives an authorization confirmation from the authorization computer upon the authentication of the identity of the cardholder. The customer then submits the authorization confirmation to the merchant. The merchant, in turn, confirms the authorization confirmation with the authorization computer.
