  • Publication number: 20240337681
Abstract: Various aspects relate to a mounting system, that may include a chuck and/or an adapter, and to a method to process a plurality of coupons using a processing tool. The method may include: positioning a first coupon of the plurality of coupons in a first holding area of a carrier plate and positioning a second coupon of the plurality of coupons in a second holding area of the carrier plate, supplying a vacuum to a first recess structure in the carrier plate defining the first holding area to fixate the first coupon covering the first recess structure and supplying a vacuum to a second recess structure in the carrier plate defining the second holding area to fixate the second coupon covering the second recess structure, and sequentially processing the first coupon and the second coupon while both the first coupon and the second coupon are mounted on the carrier plate.

  • Patent number: 6244620
Abstract: The invention relates to a steering wheel for motor vehicles, the steering wheel comprising a steering wheel axis, a skeleton surrounded by a foam casing, and an airbag module. The airbag module has a generator support connected with the skeleton and a covering cap fastened to the generator support. The covering cap is designed as an actuating device for generating a horn signal. At least two recesses are provided in the foam casing of the steering wheel skeleton and on the generator support insert pins are provided corresponding to the recesses. The pins have axes aligned parallel to the steering wheel axis. Further, the pins serve for centering the covering cap relative to the foam casing of the steering wheel skeleton in a plane perpendicular to the steering wheel axis.

  • Patent number: 6199899
Abstract: An airbag module for arrangement in motor vehicle steering wheels has a cup-shaped generator carrier (1) and a covering cap (2). The generator carrier (1) consists of a shaped sheet metal section with a side wall (4) aligned parallel to the steering wheel axis (3). A plurality of outwardly angled tabs (5) are provided on the upper rim of the side wall (4). A rectangular opening (6) is arranged in the side wall (4) beneath each tab. Further, a bending tongue (7) connected with the side wall (4) is provided each beneath opening (6). The covering cap (2) consists of plastic and has a surrounding side wall (8) with slits (9) that is fitted externally against the side wall (4) of the generator carrier (1). The side wall (8) has radial openings (10) for engagement of the tabs (5) and radially inwardly directed integral projections (11) each of which when fitted against the side wall (4) of the generator carrier (1) rests on a lower rim of a opening (6) of the side wall (4).

  • Patent number: 5988675
Abstract: An airbag module for the passenger side of a vehicle with a diffusor pipe, a gas generator accommodated in and connected to the diffusor pipe, a folded-together air sack accommodated outside of and fastened to the diffusor pipe, a holder around the air sack, and cover components tensioned between a flange at one end of the gas generator or of a generator disk and the ends of the diffusor pipe and securely tensioning the edges of a loop that fits over the diffusor pipe and secures the air sack. The air sack around the holder essentially comprises a sack-like pouch of textile material around the diffusor pipe with two partly overlapping pieces attached to and detachable from each other and concealing the opening that the unfolding air sack emerges through.
