  • Publication number: 20250180318
Abstract: A system and associated device for managing gas flow of a ballistic device is provided. The system may comprise a sleeve and a muzzle brake device. The sleeve may be configured and/or utilized to substantially surround a barrel of the ballistic device so that a space between the barrel and the sleeve may be defined as one or more sleeve gas channel. The muzzle brake device may include a first end portion, a second end portion, a second end body member, an inner muzzle body member, and/or one or more muzzle support members. The one or more muzzle support members may be extending between the second end body member and the inner muzzle body member. A space may be created between the second end body member and the inner muzzle body member which may define one or more of a muzzle gas channel.

  • Publication number: 20250180235
Abstract: A system comprises a liquid desiccant regeneration system, a first air contactor stage, and a second air contactor stage. The regeneration system has a first stage with a first concentration output and first diluted output, and a second stage with a second concentration output, different from the first concentration output, and a second diluted output. The first air contactor stage is coupled to the first concentrated output to form a first output air stream having a reduced water content and a first diluted air contactor output. The second air contactor stage is coupled to the second concentrated output to form a second output air stream having a reduced water content and a second diluted air contactor output. Both diluted air contactor outputs are recirculated into the regeneration system, and the output air streams are combined.

  • Publication number: 20250105602
Abstract: A repair device for an electrical transmission line, including first and second end sections. The end sections have an elongated and electrically conductive frame with a clamp side and an entry side opposite the clamp side. The frame forms a C-channel including an upper and lower jaw which are spaced apart from each other to define a throat cavity, with an entrance slot defined on the entry side of the frame. The throat cavity is configured to receive an electrically conductive cable. The lower jaw includes a plurality of threaded openings extending therethrough and in communication with the throat cavity. Fasteners are threadedly engaged with the threaded openings to sandwich the electrically conductive cable against the lower jaw. An electrically conductive link member attaches the first and second end sections in a spaced apart orientation.

  • Publication number: 20250090994
Abstract: Air flows across an air-liquid interface such that liquid desiccant flowing through the interface absorbs water from the air and is thereby diluted to form an output stream. The output stream is circulated through an electrodialytic stack having a central ionic exchange membrane and first and second outer ionic exchange membranes. A redox shuttle loop circulates around the first and second outer ionic exchange membranes. A voltage is applied across the electrodialytic stack, which regenerates the liquid desiccant.

  • Publication number: 20240286852
Abstract: A robotic work cell uses an object separating mechanism to disperse bulk objects into a 2D arrangement on a horizontal surface and uses a vision system to generate pick-up (positional) data and rotational orientation data for each sequentially selected target object of the 2D arrangement. A pick-and-place robot mechanism uses the positional data to pick-up each target object and uses the rotational orientation data to reorientate the target object during transfer to a designated hand-off location. A carousel-type robotic end-tool disposed on a 4-axis object-processing robot mechanism rotates a gripper mechanism around a vertical axis to move the target object from the hand-off location to a designated processing location, where an associated processing device performs a desired process (e.g., label application) on the target object. In one embodiment the gripper mechanism is selectively rotatable around a horizontal axis to facilitate processing on opposing surfaces of the target object.

  • Patent number: 11944934
Abstract: A liquid desiccant regenerator configured to produce a first output stream with a higher concentration of a liquid desiccant than a first input stream. The regenerator also produces a second output stream with a lower concentration of the liquid desiccant than a second input stream. Regeneration of the liquid desiccant in the liquid desiccant regenerator decreases a temperature of the liquid desiccant regenerator. The system includes an air contactor coupled to the first output stream and exposing an input air stream to the first output stream. The first output stream absorbs water from the input air stream to form at least one diluted output desiccant stream. A heat pump of the system is thermally coupled to move the heat from the first output stream to the liquid desiccant regenerator. The heat moved to the liquid desiccant regenerator increases an efficiency of the liquid desiccant regenerator.

  • Patent number: 11872528
Abstract: An electrochemical system has a first reservoir receiving a feed stream. The feed stream includes a solvent and a solute different than the salt. A second reservoir receives a brine stream with a higher salt concentration higher than the feed stream. Electrodes contact a loop of redox-active electrolyte material causing reversible redox reactions. The reactions cause the loop to accept a first ion from the salt in the first reservoir and drive a second ion into the brine stream in the second reservoir. Three ionic exchange membranes of alternating type define the first and second reservoirs. A concentrate stream is output from the first reservoir, the concentrate stream having a second solute concentration greater than the first solute concentration.
