  • Patent number: 9056149
Abstract: An improved bodyboard and bodyboard shape are presented. The bodyboard includes both a hull section and a planar section formed in the bottom surface of the bodyboard. The bodyboard presented herein provides a hydrodynamically-shaped object that allows a rider to ride waves, typically in a prone or kneeling position on top of at least a portion of the bodyboard. The bodyboard provides the rider more control, speed and maneuverability, without adding substantially to costs to manufacture and maintain the bodyboard.

  • Publication number: 20080152608
Abstract: Antiperspirant stick compositions in the form of a water-in-oil emulsion comprising a dispersed aqueous solution of an astringent antiperspirant salt and a continuous oil phase solidified by a hydrocarbon wax comprising an intermediate molecular weight polyethylene wax, optionally together with a further hydrocarbon wax, exhibit desirable aesthetic properties, including low drag/good glide and low visible deposits at a preferred stick hardness.

  • Patent number: 7051643
Abstract: A brake booster assembly is temporarily mounted on a vehicle dash panel by use of a clip. The brake booster assembly includes a housing and at least one mounting bolt extending outwardly from an outer wall of the housing. The mounting bolt extends through an aperture of the vehicle panel to mount the brake booster to the vehicle panel. The clip is fastened to the mounting bolt. The clip has a securing structure for engaging with a wall of the vehicle panel to at least temporarily mount the brake booster to the vehicle panel.

  • Patent number: 6035507
Abstract: A method for mounting a production rotor (20) to a hub (22) of a wheel assembly (10) for a vehicle. The rotor (20) comprises a disc (32) having braking surfaces (24, 26). The rotor (20) also has a central plate (28) that is offset from the disc (32) and rotor studholes (30) extending through the central plate (28). The hub (22) has a flange (34) and studs (36) for attaching the hub (22) to the rotor (20). The method comprises the steps of clamping the central plate (28) of the production rotor (20) to a gage hub (122); and measuring the axial displacement (dt) of one of the braking surfaces (24, 26) from a free state plane (A). The production rotor (20) is marked to indicate the rotor position of one of the maximum and minimum displacement (dt) thereof. Also included are the steps of clamping the production hub flange (34) to a gage rotor (120) having gage braking surfaces (124, 126); and measuring the axial displacement (dh) of the gage braking surface (124, 126) from a free state plane (B).

  • Patent number: 6009649
Abstract: A promotional amusement device including a handle element which includes a grip portion at its lower end, and a spherical globe portion at the upper end. A series of three telescopically arranged tubular members are arranged to be nestled within the handle member, and including a spring member associated with the tubular members in order to extend the tubular members into a fully extended position. A transparent stretchable boot is provided and arranged to be nested within the upper spherical globe portion of the handle, and includes a top cap mounted on the inner most tubular member and which also provides a rest point for the transparent stretchable boot. Upon release of the spring member, the tubular members are fully extended to the open position and carry with it the transparent stretchable boot to its fully extended position. The boot, spherical globe portion and handle member are all adapted to carry promotional indicia thereon which are displayed when the boot is fully extended by the tubular members.

  • Patent number: 5727660
Abstract: A wheel assembly (10) for a vehicle comprising a rotor (12) having a central portion (14) with a periphery, a wheel mounting surface (16), and a hub mounting surface (18) opposite the wheel mounting surface (16). A hub (26) and a wheel (24) are mounted to the rotor (12) in a sandwich arrangement. The rotor (12) has a recess (30) about the periphery of the wheel mounting surface (16) of the central portion (14). The recess (30) enables the wheel (24) to be mounted on the rotor (12) to isolate clamping forces of the wheel (24) to prevent the wheel mounting forces from creating a moment which would move the disc portion (20) of the rotor (12) out of radial alignment with the wheel (24), i.e., to prevent runout of the rotor (12).
