  • Publication number: 20060108764
Abstract: In a chassis suspension comprising a spring structure for oscillation isolation, which is mounted at least at one end in a bearing and provided with a spring movement limiting device, a buckling element forming a support for the spring structure is arranged in a housing consisting of two telescopic cylinders providing for longitudinal and transverse movement limits for the buckling element.

  • Patent number: 6382149
Abstract: A valve timing gear of an internal-combustion engine is provided, in the case of which a camshaft acts by a timing cam upon a valve by way of a tappet whose cam-side contact path can be changed by a control device for changing the valve opening period. For achieving a small-sized control device, this control device comprises a slider rocker guided in the valve lifting direction by way of a first sliding hinge joint arranged on an engine section side and an additional sliding hinge joint provided on the tilting segment side, with a control opening penetrated with play by a timing-cam-free section of the camshaft. An element, which can be operated in a controlled manner, of an adjusting device is arranged in/on the camshaft, while rotating with it, and being applied such to the circumference of the control opening that the adjustable slider rocker, while the camshaft is rotating, carries out for each valve lift a periodic rocking movement which is used for forcibly controlling the tilting segment.

  • Patent number: 6145485
Abstract: For a variable valve operating mechanism for an internal-combustion engine having variable valve lifts, which can be achieved at constant opening angles, variable valve opening angles are achieved in the case of particularly small valve lifts. To do so, the rocker axis of a valve lever, which is essentially parallel to the axis of rotation of the camshaft, can be dynamically displaced relative to a camshaft along a path in a controlled manner such that, when the rocker axis is displaced, the valve lever is activated for the valve operation by way of a roller which is controlled only approximately from the starting area to the end area of a cam tip of a radial cam on the camshaft.
