  • Patent number: 12257733
Abstract: A control system automates operations of a chainsaw mill. The chainsaw mill has at least one powerhead, and at least one travel motor that mechanically engages with a drive belt to drive the at least one powerhead along a guide track. A tension sensor measures tension on the drive belt, and a powerhead sensor produces a revolutions per minute (RPM) measurement of the at least one powerhead. A powerhead controller is responsive to the RPM measurement for controlling the powerhead's throttle to keep the RPM near a predetermined RPM setpoint. A travel motor controller is responsive to the tension measurement for controlling the at least one powerhead's transit speed along the guide track to maintain drive-belt tension near a predetermined tension setpoint.

Abstract: A compressor may include a compression cylinder, a compression piston, a crankshaft, an injection bore, a position sensor, and a valve assembly. The compression piston is disposed within the compression cylinder and is operable to compress a vapor disposed within the compression cylinder from a suction pressure to a discharge pressure. The crankshaft is operable to cycle the compression piston within the compression cylinder. The injection bore may be in fluid communication with the compression cylinder and may be operable to selectively communicate intermediate-pressure vapor at a pressure between the suction pressure and said discharge pressure to the compression cylinder. The position sensor may measure a rotational position of the crankshaft. The valve assembly may be associated with the injection bore. • Patent number: 9003125
Abstract: A technique for cache coherency is provided. A cache controller selects a first set from multiple sets in a congruence class based on a cache miss for a first transaction, and places a lock on the entire congruence class in which the lock prevents other transactions from accessing the congruence class. The cache controller designates in a cache directory the first set with a marked bit indicating that the first transaction is working on the first set, and the marked bit for the first set prevents the other transactions from accessing the first set within the congruence class. The cache controller removes the lock on the congruence class based on the marked bit being designated for the first set, and resets the marked bit for the first set to an unmarked bit based on the first transaction completing work on the first set in the congruence class.
