  • Publication number: 20250259087
Abstract: A quantum system can include a reconfigurable array of quantum sensors; and one or more processors configured to perform operations, the operations including: configuring the quantum system including the reconfigurable array of quantum sensors; obtaining a signal from a quantum sensor exposed to a signal for a period of time; transducing at least one state of the quantum sensor into quantum memory; encoding the at least one transduced state using an error-correcting code; processing the encoded states by quantum operations to extract at least one measurement value; and processing the extracted at least one measurement value to determine one or more classical values.

  • Patent number: 9511777
Abstract: Embodiments of the present invention provide a control system for a motor vehicle, the control system being operable to determine a vehicle speed value corresponding to a speed of travel of the vehicle over a surface according to a value of a speed of a wheel of the vehicle, the control system being operable to: cause a reduction in an amount of drive torque applied to at least one of a plurality of driven wheels; obtain a value of a speed of rotation of the at least one wheel while the amount of drive torque applied thereto is reduced; and determine the vehicle speed value according to the measured value of wheel speed, wherein the system is configured to determine whether the vehicle speed value obtained according to the speed of the wheel following the reduction in torque applied to the wheel is consistent with one or more vehicle speed measurements made by alternative means.

    Assignee: Jaguar Land Rover Limited
    Inventors: Michael Blyth, Paul Beever
  • Patent number: 9475395
Abstract: The invention relates to a control system and methods for controlling motion of a vehicle over a surface. The control system limits an amount of drive torque that may be applied to one or more wheels of the vehicle to prevent an amount of wheel slip from exceeding a prescribed value. The prescribed value of wheel slip is determined in dependence at least in part on vehicle speed. In addition, method claims 28 and 29 are directed to providing drive torque, independent of vehicle speed, which corresponds to or exceeds the maximum traction force. These methods are suitable for highway driving with high friction or off road driving on soft terrain, respectively.
