Abstract: In a cleaning cassette for cleaning an electromagnetic transducer head of a cassette tape deck, having a cassette housing capable of being inserted in the cassette receptacle of the deck, a cleaning head movably mounted in the cassette housing, and a drive system coupled to the cleaning head, the drive system comprising a drive motor (52, 152) arranged inside the cassette housing (2, 102) and mechanically linked to the cleaning head (22, 122).

Abstract: For the inspection of magnetic memory disks (11) a viewing arrangement (17,18,19) is used which can be mounted on the head arm carrier (16) of a magnetic disk memory in place of one or more head arms. It has a bracket (19) which can be moved between the magnetic memory disks (11) and on which is provided the light admission part or optical pickup of the viewing arrangement (17,18,19). The image received by the pickup (20) is conducted to the part of the viewing arrangement (17,18,19) which is located outside of the magnetic memoryt disks (11) on the head arm carrier (16). There the disk surface can conveniently be inspected.

Abstract: In a hard disk drive with a closed housing (10) enclosing a magnetic disk pack (24,26) and a carrier arrangement (32) for magnetic heads (36), permanent-magnet or electromagnetic erase heads (44,62) are arranged in this which can be operated independently of the magnetic heads (36).
