    Abstract: A binder including a spine having a first edge and a second edge, a front cover pivotally coupled to the first edge of the spine, and a rear cover pivotally coupled to the second edge of the spine. The front cover is directly or indirectly attachable to the rear cover to form a self-supporting binder. The binder further includes a binding mechanism coupled to the spine, wherein the binding mechanism is coupled to the spine in an off-center manner such that the binding mechanism is located closer to one of the edges than the other one of the edges.
