    Abstract: Provided herein are compositions and systems comprising a DNA polymerase domain, a thioredoxin binding domain (TBD), and thioredoxin (TRX), wherein one or both of the TRX and TBD are fused or otherwise conjugated to the DNA polymerase domain. A TRX or TBD may also be provided in a system herein as a separate entity (e.g., a binary system). The DNA polymerase/TBD/TRX compositions and systems herein are engineered to reduce stutter and/or to produce fewer stutter artifacts. Kits comprising the DNA polymerase/TBD/TRX compositions and systems herein and methods of use thereof are also within the scope herein.

    Abstract: Games requiring thinking and strategy are provided with concealable cards or game pieces, physical or virtual, which can be played on a game board which may be a square or rectangular grid or other shape. Together the cards or game pieces are a collection of sets and there may be more spaces on the game board than there are cards or game pieces in the collection. The cards may be a subset of a regular deck of cards, such as five sets of four cards of the same value, each of different suits, wherein these 20 cards are to be played on a 5×5 game board so that there are 5 extra spaces that will be empty after all cards are played. Cards may be played one at a time or grouped and some may be concealed before being played, with the order of concealed and revealed varying. A player aims to place the cards or game pieces to form combinations such as four of a kind in value in either rows or columns to score points. Other combinations may be played for such as three of a kind, flushes, full houses etc.

    Abstract: The present technology relates generally to musical wind instrument key mechanisms, and more particularly to the octave or register vents that are employed on musical wind instruments to cause the instrument to play pitches an octave or more higher in frequency relative to the frequency obtained prior to actuation of the vent. In some embodiments, an octave/register key for affixing to a musical wind instrument in which an air column is formed includes a core having a core aperture therein. The core is reversibly moveable between a first position in which the core aperture is in fluid communication with the air column and a second position in which the core aperture is out of fluid communication with the air column.

    Abstract: The present invention is a novel protocol for the massively parallel production of improved MIPs. The molecular improvements to the MIP cover the manufacturing of the probes, the workflow, the addition of unique sequence elements which connote sample specificity, and a sequence tag which uniquely identifies a specific molecule present in the initial sample population. Lastly, this invention also is combined with an empirical optimization strategy that overcomes issues of both locus representation and allelic bias. This improved technique is scalable and can be utilized to amplify targets comprised of a single locus' amplicon up to targeting more than 1 million loci.
