  • Patent number: 11223744
Abstract: Techniques of editing images using a digital image editing tool involve defining a local adjustment that includes, as separate masks, a spatial mask and a range mask. The spatial mask specifies a region of the image to be adjusted and the range mask specifies ranges of colors and tones to be adjusted independent of the region specified by the spatial mask. In applying these masks, when a user changes a setting in the digital image editing tool, the digital image editing tool weights the effect of the setting according to the values of the spatial mask and the range mask for each pixel of the image.

  • Publication number: 20180211199
Abstract: Systems and methods are disclosed for simulating and optimizing employee scheduling. In one embodiment, a decision engine includes a communication device, memory storing instructions, and a processor configured to execute the instructions to perform operations. The operations may include receiving service data including at least tasks of a first type, tasks of a second type, and a plurality of employee volumes, each indicating a number of first employees trained for the tasks of the first type, second employees trained for the tasks of the second type, and third employees trained for tasks of both types. The operations may further include generating, based on the service data a plurality of estimates, generating a simulation of some estimates, generating an optimized decision specifying an optimized number of first employees, second employees, and third employees, and causing at least one output device to display an interface associated with the optimized decision.

  • Patent number: 8313136
Abstract: A vehicle includes a vehicular frame, a utility bed, and a locking device. The utility bed is pivotally coupled with the vehicular frame and is pivotable between a hauling position and a dumping position. The locking device is operable between a locked position and an unlocked position and is configured to prevent the utility bed from pivoting to the dumping position when the locking device is in the locked position.

  • Patent number: 8042514
Abstract: A throttle body includes first and second intake conduits, first and second valves, and first and second gears. The first and second intake conduits are configured for respective placement in fluid communication with first and second cylinder housings of an engine. The first valve is associated with the first intake conduit and is movable to selectively adjust restriction of the first intake conduit to passage of fluid. The second valve is associated with the second intake conduit and is movable to selectively adjust restriction of the second intake conduit to passage of fluid. The first gear is attached to the first valve and the second gear attached to the second valve. The second gear is engaged with the first gear such that the first and second gears correspondingly rotate. Engines and saddle-type vehicles are also provided.

  • Patent number: 7597077
Abstract: A V-type engine includes a housing, a crankshaft, a counterbalance shaft, a first camshaft, and a second camshaft. The crankshaft, the counterbalance shaft, the first camshaft, and the second camshaft are rotatably supported by the housing. The crankshaft has a crankpin. In one embodiment, an imaginary plane perpendicular to the rotational axis of the crankshaft intersects each of the crankpin and the counterbalance shaft such that the crankshaft is operatively coupled with each of the counterbalance shaft and the first camshaft on one side of the imaginary plane, and the counterbalance shaft is operatively coupled with the second camshaft on an opposite side of the imaginary plane. The V-type engine may be included in a vehicle.
