  • Publication number: 20040174013
Abstract: A self-mailer construction that creates a single- or double-panel inside a carrier. Die-cuts are positioned in such as way as to reduce the size of at least one internal panel. Because these panel(s) are narrow-width, they terminate short of the full-width portion of the outside panels and, therefore, are unattached at any point other than the top edge of the sealed document. Accordingly, when the mailer is engaged with an envelope slitter or similar device, the truncated panel becomes free-floating and can be readily removed.

  • Patent number: 5887408
Abstract: A form assembly for enclosing a received facsimile document in an envelope has been developed, along with a method for automatically assembling and sealing the envelope with the facsimile document within. The form assembly includes a front and back sheet that when sealed together form the envelope. The front and back sheets have substantially the same dimensions and are both larger than the received facsimile document. The front and back sheets have a border area adjacent its perimeter, and the border includes a pattern of pressure sealing cohesive. Moreover, the border extends beyond the facsimile document when that document is assembled with the sheets of the envelope. To assemble the form, the facsimile document is sandwiched between the front and back sheets of the envelope. The edges of the assembled form which include the border are compressed with sufficient pressure to activate the cohesive of the border and to thereby seal the envelope closed with the facsimile document within the envelope.

  • Patent number: 5370302
Abstract: A postcard mailer may also be used as a reply postcard. A sheet of paper between one-half of and the minimum weight of a postcard, is printed with reply and return address indicia on the top face of one side of an intermediate fold line, while the sheet on the other side of the fold line is printed with instructional or inquisitive indicia. A removable label printed with outgoing address indicia is disposed over the reply address indicia. A line of weakness parallel to the top edge defines the sheet into first and second panels, the second panel having at least the minimum dimensions of a postcard. Adhesive patterns are provided on the bottom face of the sheet, on both the first and second panels. The sheet is folded about an intermediate fold line and the adhesive is sealed, producing an outgoing postcard. By detachment at the line of weakness, and removing the label, the mailer is transformed into a reply postcard.

  • Patent number: 5307989
Abstract: A return mailer type business form has a top ply through which outgoing address information is visible, and a second ply with a reply address printed on its back. The back of the second ply is covered by a removable third ply when used as an outgoing mailer. After receipt by the addressee, the first ply is detached along a perforation line on the first face, and a flap on the second ply is folded about a score line to close the reply envelope formed by the remaining part of the top ply and the second ply, and to cover any further outgoing address information visible by viewing the first ply. The outgoing address information may be printed on the second ply and visible through a window in the first ply, or may be printed on the first ply.
