  • Patent number: 5289664
Abstract: In a wall panel wall system for a building with a plurality of wall panels, each wall panel having an exterior weather surface, an interior plenum exposed surface, and panel side edges extending the preselected thickness of the panels from the exterior weather surface to the interior plenum surface for abutment to similar said panels to form a continuous building exterior wall, and means affixed to the panels for supporting the panels from a structural member of the building. The panels as supported from the building abut to form at least one horizontal or diagonal joint at the side edges between the panels and at least one vertical joint between the panels. A caulking system is provided for the joints between the panels. The caulking system has an elastic gutter support member for forming a barrier between said horizontally or diagonally abutted panels.

  • Patent number: 4882890
Abstract: A weather seal for expandable roof joints or roof-to-wall joints is provided with an elastomeric outer seal, retaining means for receiving flashing or portions of the building structure, and further for receiving a clamping bar and continuously applied sealant material. The weather seal is further provided with means for retaining insulation/support material against the inner surface of the elastomeric outer seal. An inner membrane, or gutter member, may be positioned within the joint and affixed to the structure sections between the elastomeric outer seal to provide improved imperviousness of the weather seal. Flashing material may be appropriately shaped to receive portions of the weather seal for securing the weather seal in place of the clamping bar.

  • Patent number: 4799345
Abstract: A seal for sealing the region between abutting building surfaces is provided with a first surface for presentation when the seal is used between smooth abutting wall surfaces, and a second surface for presentation where one or both of the abutting wall surfaces is rough. The seal's position between abutting building surfaces is reversible so as to present either the first or second surface, depending on the nature of the abutting building surfaces. Side sections are provided with ridges and grooves for receiving sealant material to form a barrier between the exterior region and interior region of the area between abutting building surfaces and to provide adhesion between the seal and the building surfaces to assure the seal is maintained against the abutting building surfaces upon expansion or contraction of the area between those surfaces.

  • Patent number: 4290713
Abstract: Expansion and cast-in retainer dam for sealing pavement joints against intrusion of water, dirt, etc., into the joint space, said dams utilizing a pair of rolled steel frames on opposite sides of the joint and a continuous elastomer strip spanning the joint and interlocked along its opposite edges in slotted openings in the frames by a bead of triangular cross-section on each edge of the strip.
