Abstract: Systems and methods are described which facilitate the integration of data into a content management system. Legacy data is inspected, and content types are generated based on a data model. From these content types, content type objects may be generated. The data may then be examined to acquire a key set, and a content instance object generated for each datum found which matches a content type. This content instance object can then be associated with the datum using one or more key values, saved, and subsequently used to manage the data. These methods and systems allow data to be migrated to a content management system without any modification to the existing data repository or its associated structures.

A higher level of abstraction can be used to allow business users to create their own objects that may reference or contain other objects or records as managed by a content management system. Business users do not have to learn programming code in order to work those objects, which are content types. A graphical user interface (“GUI”) can be used to help the business users to create, modify, and delete content types. The GUI and the ability for business users to the create content types greatly shortens the time between receiving software to operate a network site and launching content at that network site.

Abstract: The system allows for the controlled distribution of video and/or audio broadcasts over a LAN to selected and approved client computers. The video broadcasts are received by at least one server on the LAN. A configuration file is created with identifying information from the various video feeds. The systems administrator can create a list of which client computers can have access to certain video feeds. When a client computer requests a video feed, a menu of video feeds approved for that client is constructed and displayed on the client computer. The display can include a selectable representative image of the available broadcast. When selected, a display window appears with the live video feed.

Abstract: Method and system aspects output a single audio stream from a plurality of audio streams provided by at least one application program running on a computer system with an audio device. Production of the single audio stream includes forming a server process in the computer system, emulating the audio device with the server process to allow any combination of audio stream formats, and manipulating the plurality of audio streams with the server process to form the single audio stream for maintaining transparency to the at least one application program.
