    Abstract: A portable refrigeration mat includes an evaporator mat. An evaporator is located in the evaporator mat. Located above the evaporator mat is an insulation mat which thermally insulates the evaporator mat from the surrounding environment. Located above the insulation mat is a load mat having a planar load carrying upper surface. The evaporator is fluidly interconnected with a condenser to provide a thermosyphon unit which is portable and can be moved from site to site.
