  • Publication number: 20170021254
Abstract: A TRIPLE-PLAY game and a FIRST-N-TEN game are provided that can be readily assembled and disassemble by the player and can be played indoors or outdoors. Each of the games includes identical base units. The TRIPLE-PLAY game has first second and third upright posts of varying lengths that are supported by cross arms and base unit. Players score points by throwing rings over the upright posts. The FIRST-N-TEN game is similar and has first and second goal posts that players throw rings at in order to ring the goal posts or deflect to ring the goal posts. Each game provides for hours of exciting and competitive game play. The games have rules that further enhance the entertainment the players experience while playing. The TRIPLE-PLAY game and the first and the FIRST-N-TEN games can be stored in a bag when disassembled.

  • Patent number: 8747451
Abstract: Stents and methods of using stents are provided. Stents of the invention provide external support structure for a blood vessel segment disposed within, wherein the stents are capable of resilient radial expansion in a manner mimicking the compliance properties of an artery. The stent may be formed of a knitted or braided mesh formed so as to provide the needed compliance properties. A venous graft with the stent and a vein segment disposed within is provided, wherein graft is capable of mimicking the compliance properties of an artery. Methods of selecting stents for downsizing and methods of using the stents of the invention in downsizing and smoothening are provided. Methods of replacing a section of an artery with a venous graft including a stent of the invention are provided. Methods of reducing intimal hyperplasia in implanted vein segment in a venous graft using stents of the invention are provided.

  • Publication number: 20120219613
Abstract: Provided herein are a series of arylmethylidene rhodanine derivatives having broad-spectrum antiviral activity against enveloped viruses, including but not limited to filoviruses, poxviruses, arenaviruses, bunyaviruses, paramyxoviruses, flaviviruses, influenza A, and HIV-1. The compounds act via a novel mechanism to disrupt viral membranes and inhibit viral attachment, fusion, and/or entry into host cells. The membrane disrupting activity of the compounds is selective for viral membranes relative to other biological membranes, making the compounds non-toxic to cells and host subjects.

  • Patent number: 6793437
Abstract: A compaction roller particularly useful for vibration compaction of the shoulder area of roadways. The compactor is designed as an attachment for side-mounting to self-propelled or motorized machinery (e.g. a skid steer front loader). The compaction roller contains: (a) a front section comprising a frame connected to a front cylindrical roller; (b) a rear section comprising a frame connected to a rear cylindrical roller; (c) a joining means pivotally connecting said front and rear sections; and (d) a means for attaching to a self-propelled machinery in a side-mounted fashion. The pivoting compactor allows for simultaneous pinching and compacting on two different planes and reduces the hazards of operating a road roller compactor directly on a sloped surface.
