  • Patent number: 11973308
Abstract: The embodiments described herein provide a device and method for an integrated white colored electromagnetic radiation source using a combination of laser diode excitation sources based on gallium and nitrogen containing materials and light emitting source based on phosphor materials. A violet, blue, or other wavelength laser diode source based on gallium and nitrogen materials may be closely integrated with phosphor materials, such as yellow phosphors, to form a compact, high-brightness, and highly-efficient, white light source. The phosphor material is provided with a plurality of scattering centers scribed on an excitation surface or inside bulk of a plate to scatter electromagnetic radiation of a laser beam from the excitation source incident on the excitation surface to enhance generation and quality of an emitted light from the phosphor material for outputting a white light emission either in reflection mode or transmission mode.

  • Publication number: 20220320819
Abstract: The embodiments described herein provide a high-luminous flux laser-based white light source. A plurality of laser packages are arranged in an array pattern on a common support member. The plurality of laser packages each include one or more laser diode devices and a phosphor member. The phosphor member converts a fraction of the electromagnetic radiation from each of the laser diode devices to an emitted electromagnetic radiation and a white light is outputted.

  • Patent number: 10959870
Abstract: The invention is directed to a method and foot support device for dynamically treating plantar fasciitis in the foot of a patient while enabling patient mobility. The method comprises applying tension to the ball of the foot via a strap held in tension by extending the strap to form a continuous loop, from opposite sides of the knee in the leg of the foot in treatment through an opening in a channel guide member oriented relative to the ball of the foot, with the strap connected at opposite ends thereof to the opposite sides of the knee in alignment with the rotatable joint of the knee and controlling dorsiflexion of the plantar fascia while the patient is mobile by slidably adjusting the position of the strap within the channel guide member in response to the mobility of the patient.

  • Patent number: 10495268
Abstract: A white light emitting device includes an edge-emitting laser diode, such as a III-nitride laser diode, emitting light in a first wavelength range that is converted to light at a longer wavelength by a single crystal, ceramic or polycrystalline phosphor, such as a Ce:YAG single crystal phosphor, wherein the phosphor absorbs only some of the light emitted from the laser diode, such that a combination of remaining light emitted from the laser diode with the light at the longer wavelength emitted from the phosphor results in emission of high-intensity white light from the device. Reflectors on either side of the edge-emitting III-nitride laser diode reflect the light from both ends of the edge-emitting laser diode towards the phosphor. One or more sides of the phosphor may roughened, or a scattering layer may be added, to promote uniform color mixing of the emissions.
