  • Patent number: 11098726
Abstract: A system and modular compressor for raising the pressure in production gas is disclosed, wherein in a set of compressor modules each second module is a rotor module carrying an impeller driven in rotation relative to an adjacent stationary module, a rotor module and a stationary module in combination providing a compressor stage in which production gas is accelerated through a flow duct that passes an interface between the rotor module and the stationary module, wherein at the interface at least one bearing for axial and/or radial load is provided for journaling the rotor module on the stationary module. The at least one bearing is a gas bearing, wherein a passage is arranged in the stationary module to lead an extracted portion of production gas at raised pressure from the compressor to the gas bearing(s).

  • Patent number: 10280796
Abstract: A turboexpander-generator unit including a casing with a gas inlet and a gas outlet. The unit further comprises a turboexpander having a turboexpander rotor mounted on a shaft supported for rotation in the casing, and an electric generator arranged in the casing and comprised of a generator stator and a generator rotor mounted on the shaft, for co-rotation with the turboexpander rotor. The unit also comprises a plurality of bearings configured and arranged for rotatingly supporting the shaft in the casing. A gas flow path from the gas inlet to the gas outlet, which extends through the turboexpander and the electric generator. Compressed working gas expands in the turboexpander and generates mechanical power for rotating the generator rotor. The expanded working gas from the turboexpander flow through the electric generator and removes heat therefrom. The bearings comprise gas-lubricated bearings, lubricated with the working gas.

  • Publication number: 20070181494
Abstract: A reactor chamber for placement in a wastewater treatment system, where the reactor chamber has a chamber formed from a sidewall which forms an interior of the chamber. The sidewall has a top portion and a bottom portion and fixed channel growth media positioned in the interior of the chamber. The fixed channel growth media is positioned below the top of the sidewall, so that when positioned in a treatment system, most of the growth media is located below the water level in the treatment system. The top of the sidewall near the water level (when positioned in a treatment system) is substantially impermeable to wastewater. The reactor includes an air distribution manifold system having a series of air release sites positioned below the fixed channel growth media and adapted to release air which disperses upwardly through the fixed channel growth media. Influent is discharged into the treatment tank near the air discharge sites.

  • Patent number: 5766454
Abstract: A wastewater treatment system: The system entails an aerobic tank and an anaerobic tank. Wastewater enters the aerobic tank where it is aerobically treated. The effluent then flows to the anaerobic tank where it is anaerobically treated to remove nitrogen in the wastewater. A filter may be added to the discharge line from the anaerobic tank to remove any suspended solids emitted with the effluent from the anaerobic tank.
