  • Publication number: 20230369686
Abstract: Battery cells, battery cell units, battery modules, and battery assemblies are described. The cells of such components include a prismatic shaped cell housing including a slanted wall. Substantially planar positive and negative electrodes are arranged within the housing. The slanted wall defines a pocket within the housing between edges of the electrodes and an interior surface of the slanted wall and the pocket is configured to collect gas generated within the housing. A vent is formed on the slanted wall of the housing proximate the pocket. The vent is initially in a closed state and configured to open upon an increase in pressure within the housing to allow pressure and/or gases to leave the cell cavity through the vent. The battery cell units, battery modules, and battery assemblies may include such cells.

  • Publication number: 20170156920
Abstract: An ostomy pouching system comprises a fixing plate and a bag having an opening, the fixing plate comprising a central hole for receipt of a stoma, a base layer bearing a first major surface and formed of a flexible tacky material and an upper layer bearing the second major surface and formed of a material that is harder than the base layer. The central hole has a perimeter that is smaller than a perimeter of a stoma, in which at least a portion of the first major surface that surrounds the central hole comprises a resiliently deformable region capable of stretching to form a neck region that in use conforms to a sidewall of the stoma when the stoma protrudes through the central hole. The system comprises a belt for attaching the fixing plate to the patient's body, the belt having a central hole configured to receive a stoma and a surrounding surface configured to abut the fixing plate with the base layer disposed against one face of the belt and the upper layer disposed against an opposite face of the belt.

  • Patent number: 7269569
Abstract: The method of providing includes providing an assessment of the maintenance and technical service needs of a plant, as broadly defined, and recommending services for outsourcing selected from a menu of services. The services are modular and may be mixed and matched to a customized fit with the needs of the plant. Categories of services are directed to technical services, motor maintenance, electro-mechanical services, etc. A generic approach to all plant maintenance provides a framework in which to offer the services. Services are offered throughout the life cycle of a plant. Particular industries are targeted for outsourced services.

  • Publication number: 20030172002
Abstract: A method for doing business includes a menu of services From which services are selected and performing those services on an outsourced basis to plants, such as industrial plants. An overall plan for providing maintenance and technical services for businesses and plants, as broadly defined, includes generic procedures for the services written as a manual of standard practices. A knowledge base or experience database of data and people is utilized, and both hardware and software tools are selected and used in providing the services. Technical services are offered to customers on all outsourced basis according to a menu of services available. A menu is provided for categories of equipment on with the technical services provider offers technical services and a menu is also provided identifying the technical services which are offered.
