  • Publication number: 20250336385
Abstract: An exemplary noise reducing device for reducing the noise of sound waves propagating through a fluid includes a housing; a primary flow path within the housing configured to receive a first portion of the fluid; and at least one phase shifting flow path within the housing configured to receive a second portion of the fluid, wherein the first portion of the fluid flowing through the primary flow path produces a first sound wave, and wherein the second portion of the fluid flowing through the phase shifting flow path produces a second sound wave out of phase relative to the first sound wave at a target frequency, such that the first sound wave destructively interferes with the second sound wave to reduce noise of the first and second sound waves.

  • Publication number: 20160019772
Abstract: A breathalyzer kiosk can include a breath blood alcohol content sensor, a display, and a digital signage content module. The breath blood alcohol content sensor is capable of receiving breath of a patron and correlating detected alcohol levels within the breath to a blood alcohol content data of the patron. The display can be used to visually output a variety of information including a blood alcohol content value calculated from the blood alcohol content data provided by the alcohol sensor. The digital signage content module is also operatively connected to the display and is adapted to receive the blood alcohol content data and display a blood alcohol content value acquired from the blood alcohol content data. The digital signage content module also creates a multi-frame screen including a plurality of frames each having independent digital feeds, where at least one of the frames is an alcohol score report frame.

  • Patent number: 4915422
Abstract: A joint to be used with a coupling tool for coupling first and second axially aligned hubless pipe end sections. The joint includes an outer sleeve and an inner liner disposed within the outer sleeve. A pair of diametrically opposed cylindrically shaped lugs are positioned on the outer surface of the outer sleeve. The axis of each lug is oriented perpendicularly to the longitudinal axis of the outer sleeve for mating engagement with a slot formed in the coupling tool. The pipe end sections are retained by compression of the liner in abutting relationship with a lip formed on the interior surface of the outer sleeve. The lugs are positioned equidistant from the axial ends of the outer sleeve for insertion of the pipe end sections easily within either axial end of the sleeve.
