The method further includes combining the feed mixture with a surfactant blend containing a surfactant to form a feed/surfactant mixture and shearing the feed/surfactant mixture to form a micro-emulsion. The method may also include reducing the hydrocarbon content of the mud cuttings to form disposable cuttings.
