The simulated auction applies an advertising model to perform an auction using advertising conditions. As advertisers are selected to provide advertisements to individual ad queries, advertising conditions, such as advertiser's bidding amounts, may change. To effectively simulate a large number of ad queries, the advertising segments simulation and performs simulation of each segment. Each segment's ad results may affect the conditions of a subsequent segment, and the change in conditions may change the size of a subsequent segment.

Abstract: A method of providing visual feedback to a driver based on data collected during vehicle operation. A processor at the vehicle analyzes vehicle data, and determines when predetermined threshold values have been reached for particular parameters. Whenever such a threshold is reached, an audible indication is provided to the driver, indicating that the baseline has been exceeded. Certain parameters have at least two threshold values. When a first threshold value is reached, an alert is presented to the driver, but no data is recorded or reported. When a second threshold value is reached, another alert is presented to the driver, and data is recorded for reporting to a driver manager or supervisor. This approach provides a driver warning, that if they correct the triggering behavior, their supervisor is never notified of that behavior. However, if the behavior escalates, and the second threshold is breached, the behavior is recorded.

Abstract: A method for performing tasks on items located in a space using a robot, includes receiving an order to perform a task on at least one item and obtaining a pose associated with the at least one item. The pose is in a coordinate system defined by the space and the pose is where the task is to be performed on the at least one item. The method includes navigating the robot toward the pose associated with the at least one item and detecting, when in proximity to the pose, if the pose is obstructed by an object. If the pose is obstructed by an object, halting the robot at a location spaced from the pose and then causing the robot to provide a first signal indicating that the robot is in a holding mode at the location spaced from the pose.

A interest may be determined for a first user, which may correspond to a subject matter (e.g., item, action, or other matter) that the first user has recently expressed interest in. A location of the first user may be determined for the user and, using the location, nearby users to the first user may be located. Using the nearby users, a service provider may determine whether any of the nearby users shared the interest in common with the first user. For example, a second user may have knowledge of the interest of the first user. Based on the knowledge that the second user has in the interest, the first user and the second user may be connected. The users may receive communication information and/or locations of the other user.

Abstract: Passenger seating arrangements for an airliner or other conveyance including a plurality of individual suites arranged into longitudinal columns. Lateral aisles extending from longitudinal aisles lead to branch aisles that provide access to suites spaced apart from the longitudinal aisles, and each lateral aisle can be shared to provide access to two outboard suites. A user may capture visual data utilizing a device at a location, where the visual data includes one or more items available for acquisition at the location. A device may perform object recognition to identify the items within the images, and determine an item identifier. Using the item identifier, item data may be retrieved, and may be compared to restrictions on item acquisitions set for an account of the user. A visual output of a representation of the item in the visual data may then be configured to enhance or diminish the item's representation. The change in the item's representation may be output as an augmented reality visible to the user as the user views captured data of a scene including the item.
