    Abstract: A system for slidable connection of a satellite antenna to a mobile radio comprising: the satellite antenna including a satellite antenna element and at least one antenna contact coupled thereto; and at least one slide strip, slidably coupled with the at least one antenna contact when the antenna is in a plurality of retracted positions, the at least one slide strip being coupled to a transceiver in the mobile radio and conducting radio-frequency signals to maintain communication with the mobile radio.
