  • Patent number: 11397417
Abstract: A robotic system automatically aligns, and/or tests alignment of, a lens to a digital camera or other workpiece. The system includes an optical target, an intermediate lens and a plurality of collimators peripheral to the intermediate lens to accommodate a wide range of fields of view of the workpieces, without requiring changes in equipment hardware. When manufacturing or testing a workpiece with a relatively narrow field of view, the entire field of view of the workpiece can be filled with a view of the target through the intermediate lens, and the collimators need not be used. However, when manufacturing or testing a camera having a relatively large field of view, the intermediate lens is used to fill a central portion of the field of view with an image of the target, and the collimators are used to fill a remaining portion of the field of view with images of reticles.

  • Publication number: 20210152510
Abstract: A messaging platform is configured to communicate with a messaging client installed on a mobile communication device via a compact dedicated device (CDD). Messages that are intended for the mobile communication device are first transmitted to the CDD via a paging system instead of directly to the mobile communication device. The CDD is configured to forward the messages to the mobile communication device while providing alerts to the caregiver associated with the mobile communication device.

  • Patent number: 10313290
Abstract: A messaging platform is configured to impose HIPAA-compliant ownership and access control on conversations between caregivers that can contain at least some protected health information (PHI) or electronic protected health information (EPHI). The messaging platform can support a patient-centered conversation between caregivers who are actively affiliated with at least one covered entity in common. The messaging platform can identify caregivers who are authorized participants in a patient-centered conversation based on active affiliations with at least one covered entity. Moreover, the messaging platform can be configured to restrict participation in and access to a patient-centered conversation owned by a covered entity to caregivers who are actively affiliated with the covered entity.

  • Publication number: 20150261932
Abstract: A messaging platform is configured to impose HIPAA-compliant ownership and access control on conversations between caregivers that can contain at least some protected health information (PHI) and electronic protected health information (EPHI). In one exemplary embodiment, the messaging platform can be configured to support conversations between caregivers who are actively affiliated different covered entities. As such, the messaging platform is able to maintain HIPAA-compliant ownership control when ownership of a conversation is shared amongst multiple covered entities. According to another exemplary embodiment, the messaging platform can support the transfer of the ownership of a conversation from one covered entity to another.

  • Patent number: 6585273
Abstract: A hidden device in a multifunctional sports shoe comprises a roller mechanism and an actuating mechanism. The roller mechanism is disposed under a bottom sole of the shoe and the actuating mechanism, being attached to the roller mechanism. The roller mechanism further comprises an upper base frame, a lower base frame, and four pairs of cross arms, a roller frame with lined up rollers. The upper and the lower base frames at two longitudinal lateral sides have elongated sliding grooves respectively for these pairs of cross arms slidably moving along. The upper base frame and the wheel seat frame are fastened to the bottom sole on the sports shoe. The actuation mechanism further comprises a shaft disposed next to an end of the upper base frame transversely. A ratchet wheel, two rolling wheels, and a rotary disk with a turning stem are provided on the shaft. A ratchet stop with a press knob engages with the ratchet wheel. The elastic cords join these pairs of cross arms and wound on the rolling wheels.

  • Patent number: 5908194
Abstract: A durable, rigid, low-cost device to sense an impact of a ball over a wide area and to provide response to a user that said impact has occurred. The sensing mechanism is a low-cost acoustic sensor, acoustically coupled to an essentially single sheet of plastic material. Sensor electronics filter the input and measure amplitude to determine if a valid hit has occurred. If so, the device reports an activate signal to the response electronics that in turn provide feedback to the user by playing a digitally recorded audio message, recorded specifically for the event. Variously, the activate signal may be transmitted to a remote device that contains the response electronics.
