An embodiment includes a mobile computing device having a message application that includes a programming interface. The mobile computing device also has a second message application that creates a connection with the message application through the programming interface. Messages that are associated with the second message application can be accessed through the message application, with optional invocation of the second message application via the message application.

Abstract: A system and method for processing syndication information for a mobile device that includes: identifying a plurality of syndication servers to which a user of the mobile device subscribes; polling, at a first predetermined interval, the plurality of syndication servers to determine if syndication information on each the syndication server has been updated; if the syndication information has been updated, requesting and receiving updated syndication information; adapting the updated syndication information into a predetermined format, and sending the adapted syndication information to the mobile device. The sending of the adapted syndication information may also be performed at a predetermined interval. The predetermined format preferably uses less data and requires less processing than the original format.

Abstract: Full-motion video displayed on a portable communications device such as a tablet personal computer, can be processed “on the fly” to provide a “zoom-in” and “zoom-out” functionality. Image elements are added to video image frames as they are read out from memory and prior to being display on the picture elements (pixels) of a display device in order to make objects depicted in an image file as being larger than how it appears in the original image file. Similarly, image elements are subtracted or deleted from video image frames as they are read from memory and prior to their being displayed in order to make objects depicted in the image frames as being smaller. Video from any source can be zoomed in and zoomed out.
