  • Publication number: 20210234624
Abstract: A method for providing information to the user of receiving device of audio content to determine what other content besides that which is currently being listened to is available through the receiving device without changing what is being listened to. This will take information being provided by the sender of the audio content or others and make it available to the user of the receiving device in such a way that they can know in real time, or near real time, what audio content is available through other means on the device. This will allow users to make more informed decisions about changes to the audio content they are listening to, thus preventing or minimizing changes that prove to be misguided due to the content of the channel the user switches to being something they don't want to hear.

  • Publication number: 20170083926
Abstract: Various embodiments relate generally to a system, a device and a method provide for detecting influencer events based on received feedback data. A request may be received to predict an event for received feedback data from a plurality of customer computing devices communicatively coupled, through a network, with a web service application. A plurality of disparate data sources may provide data points from different applications and/or databases through application programming interfaces. The data points for a time period corresponding to the received feedback data may be retrieved to identify candidate events. The feedback data may be characterized and used to determine one or more ranked predictions using a heuristics engine. The heuristics engine may process the data points and the received characterized feedback data to rank predictions that influenced the feedback data. The data may also be visualized and interacted with by users of the listing management system.

  • Patent number: 8581548
Abstract: A cell balancing software program that executes on a computer system embedded inside a multi-cell battery and includes a means to control an external charging system. When a charge imbalance is detected between the cells, a cell balancing algorithm is selected from a plurality of cell-balancing algorithms and is executed. The executed algorithm causes a charge request, which specifies desired charging parameter(s), to be generated, and the charge request is transmitted to the external charging system. After the external charging system charges the battery according to the charge request, the effectiveness of the cell-balancing algorithm can be evaluated and stored in a history. The history can be used to select cell balancing algorithm(s) for future cell balancing.

  • Publication number: 20060184698
Abstract: The present invention provides a network interface adapter for connecting a client computer to a computer network that includes a reduced hardware media access controller (MAC) coupled through a physical interface (PHY) to the network physical link. A significant portion of the MAC functionality is implemented as software within the processor of the host client computer. The hardware portion of the preferred MAC implementation provides memory for buffering communications between the PHY and the client computer. The preferred hardware aspects of a MAC in accordance with the present invention also includes a register interface for register-driven communications between the hardware portion of the MAC and the software portions of the MAC implemented within the client computer. By implementing most of the MAC functionality in software within the host computer, the preferred MAC provides lower cost, lower power consumption, and generally greater flexibility.
