  • Publication number: 20080004998
Abstract: Systems and methods are provided for generating an accounting document. In one implementation, a computer-implemented method is provided. A message is received that includes operational data. An accounting notification is generated that includes the operational data using a first business object. The accounting notification is processed and the accounting document is generated using a second business object. The accounting document includes a number of posting lines corresponding to the operational data. The accounting document is processed and a set of third business objects is assigned to each posting line. The set of third business objects includes at least one general ledger account business object and a plurality of sub-ledger account business objects. One or more data processing tasks are delegated to the one of the third business objects that are assigned to the given posting line.

  • Patent number: 7225302
Abstract: A method consistent with the present invention avoids data loss in a data object replication process. The method includes: creating an electronic data element comprising a first field having an identifier and a second field having a state of the identifier; setting the second field of the data element to a state indicating that the electronic data element may be accessed and assigned; assigning the identifier to one or more data objects; setting a shared lock on the electronic data element; storing the one or more data objects; and upon a commit of the storing of the one or more data objects, removing the shared lock and setting the state of the identifier to indicate that the one or more data objects may be replicated.

  • Publication number: 20070078912
Abstract: Methods, systems and software applications are provided for storing, updating and retrieving key figures. In accordance with one embodiment, a computerized method is provided for storing values of a variable key figure over time. The method comprises storing a value of the key figure in a first data field and assigning an end date to the first data field. Further, the method includes storing a delta value of the key figure in a second data field and assigning a start date to the second data field, wherein the start date is earlier than the end date.

  • Publication number: 20040148587
Abstract: A computer-readable medium having stored theron a data structure for an electronic data element. The electronic data element includes: a first data field containing data representing an identifier functioning as a link to one or more data objects; and a second data field representing a state of the identifier in the first data field. The second data field may be in one of three states: a) a first state, in which the electronic data element may be accessed by one or more data object processing operations and whereby said identifier is assignable to one or more data objects; b) a second state, in which said electronic data element may not be accessed by one or more data object processing operations and whereby said identifier is assignable to one or more data objects; or c) a third state, in which said electronic data element may not be accessed by one or more data object processing operations and whereby said identifier is not assignable to one or more data objects.

  • Patent number: 6239962
Abstract: An arc fault circuit breaker assembled such that electrical interconnections, i.e., electrical connections between compartments, are made without disassembling any previously assembled compartment. The arc fault circuit breaker comprises housings having compartments within. Electrically connected components having interconnecting components, i.e., components which provide electrical interconnections between compartments, are disposed within the compartments. The housings are assembled together to enclose the compartments. Interconnecting components within an enclosed compartment extend through openings in the housings to provide electrical interconnections to the next compartment to be assembled. Therefore, no disassembly of the enclosed compartment is necessary to make the interconnections.

  • Patent number: 5048009
Abstract: Method and apparatus for determining the location of a broadcasting station in a local area network communications system such as Ethernet that is arranged in a bus topology. An echo module, positioned at one end of a cable, receives a packet broadcast by a station and broadcasts a distinctive echo pulse on the cable during the interframe gap or at another chosen time. A processor module positioned at a second end of the cable receives the originally broadcast packet and the echo pulse, notes the times of receipt t.sub.1 and t.sub.2, respectively, of these signals, and determines the temporal distance T.sub.1 from the broadcasting station to the echo module by the equationT.sub.1 =(t.sub.2 -t.sub.1 -.DELTA.t.sub.dp)/2,where .DELTA.t.sub.dp is a time delay associated with validation of the echo pulse.
