  • Patent number: 11951055
Abstract: A patient support apparatus supports a patient and includes a litter. A base is disposed below the litter. A lift mechanism is configured to move the litter and the base relative to one another between extended and collapsed positions. The lift mechanism includes first and second frame assemblies each including an outer frame member and an inner frame member arranged to move within the outer frame member. First and second rollers and first and second slide members are disposed between the outer and inner frame members. The first and second rollers are arranged to roll along at least one of the outer and inner frame members with a load exerted on the lift mechanism from the litter. • Publication number: 20220215715
Abstract: A slot machine, gaming method, and program product are provided to dynamically display visual and audio content to be played in synchronization with a music track. A digital signal processor performs frequency analysis of background music as it is played, and identifies musical beats to create beat events. The beat event is used to trigger additional presentation elements such as visual effects, sounds, and lighting on the beat of the background music. Spectral content information from the frequency analysis is used to create dynamic background graphics.

  • Publication number: 20210214732
Abstract: The present disclosure relates to cells, including stem cells, comprising an autobioluminescent phenotype, wherein the cells emit a luminescent signal in the absence of an exogenous luminescent stimulator. The luminescent signal may be constitutive, inducible, repressible, or tissue-specific. The cells express a synthetically engineered bacterial luciferase (lux) cassette, i.e., the luxCDABEfrp gene cassette. The cells may comprise luxA, luxB, luxC, luxD, luxE, and flavin reductase. The cells may each express a combined expression level of luxC, luxD, luxE, and flavin reductase that is from ten to forty times greater than a combined expression level of luxA and luxB. Further, methods of making and using the cells comprising an autobioluminescent phenotype are disclosed herein.

  • Patent number: 10833948
Abstract: Methods and apparatus are described for implementing service discovery protocols on subnetted zero configuration networks. A process for managing service advertisement across a plurality of subnets may comprise: collecting service advertisements on a local network level by designated network devices; sending listings of services from each of the designated devices to a master network device; sending a table of services for the plurality of subnets from the master device to all of the designated devices on the plurality of subnets; creating by each of the designated network devices for the corresponding subnet a service discovery proxy table listing the service advertisements on the subnets of the plurality of subnets beyond the subnet corresponding to the designated device; and periodically transmitting by each of the designated devices on the corresponding subnets service advertisements for the services of the corresponding service discovery proxy table.

  • Publication number: 20190367855
Abstract: An automated method for culturing stem cells using a robotic liquid handling system including a translatable bed and a movable multi-channel pipette. The method includes the steps of: locating a first multi-well cell culture plate and a multi-trough plate on the bed; placing a suspension of stem cells in at least one trough of the multi-trough plate; using the multi-channel pipette, transferring a portion of the suspension of stem cells to each well of the first multi-well cell culture plate such that at least two of the wells of the first multi-well cell culture plate have different densities of stem cells; selecting a well of the first multi-well cell culture plate having a desired density of stem cells; locating a second multi-well cell culture plate on the bed; and using the multi-channel pipette, transferring the cells of the selected well to a plurality of wells of the second multi-well cell culture plate.
