  • Publication number: 20240116283
Abstract: Embodiments provide for the manipulation of fabric items using a roller. A fabric item is engaged by a roller. Rotation of the roller while traversing the roller across the fabric item progressively lifts the fabric item onto the roller. In an example, the fabric item is held on the roller by applying a vacuum via the roller. In an example the roller is used to deposit one portion of the fabric item onto another portion of the fabric item in a joining process. In an example, the roller is used to deposit the fabric item onto another fabric item in a joining process.

  • Patent number: 11566368
Abstract: A fiducial for use in the manufacture of a fabric article includes a hole through a layer of fabric. Another layer of fabric of the fabric article overlays and obscures the fiducial. The fiducial is detected by transmitting electromagnetic radiation through the fabric article. The electromagnetic radiation may make a single pass directly through the fabric article to a sensor, or may pass through the fabric article, be reflected off a surface, and pass back through the fabric article to the sensor.

  • Patent number: 11439195
Abstract: A garment station including a frame, a conveyor coupled to the frame, a gantry, and a folding assembly. The gantry is disposed over the conveyor and includes a tool head moveable over the conveyor. The folding assembly includes a first platen moveable relative to a second platen between a folded position and an unfolded position. The first platen is substantially co-planar with the second platen in the unfolded position. The first platen is disposed above the second platen in the folded position.

  • Publication number: 20200194764
Abstract: A grommet for use in an electrochemical button cell to electrically insulate an anode can from a cathode can of the button cell includes a generally tubular sidewall and a plurality of projections. The generally tubular sidewall has an upper portion and a lower portion extending around a longitudinal axis. The upper portion tapers outwardly and upwardly away from the lower portion. The plurality of projections are spaced apart from one another and extend radially inward from the upper portion of the generally tubular sidewall toward the longitudinal axis.

  • Patent number: 10518517
Abstract: Method and apparatus for lamination of substrates, e.g. rigid plastic layers, to manufacture laminated products. The methods include the sequential application of vacuum and mechanical force through a two-stroke process performed by a lamination apparatus having one or more force-producing stroke cylinders. Actuation of a cylinder to produce a first stroke creates a sealed chamber within the apparatus, enclosing a stack of substrates to be laminated. The sealed chamber may be evacuated of air by application of a vacuum. Subsequent actuation of a cylinder to produce a second stroke applies mechanical force to the sealed chamber, which compresses the substrates into a laminated product substantially free of air bubbles or voids.
