  • Publication number: 20070026722
Abstract: A fully buffered memory module is disclosed having a two piece housing comprised of a primary housing portion and an alignment plate. An array of terminals is included having at least two terminal configurations where the terminals are trapped between the primary housing portion and the alignment plate. A printed circuit board tine of the electrical terminals extend through the alignment plate while a contact portion protrudes into a slot which receives the memory module.

  • Publication number: 20060185159
Abstract: An insertion tool for installing an electronic package to a mating connector includes a body comprising a stop surface for the electronic package, and guide elements extending from the body adjacent the stop surface. The guide elements are configured to engage respective edges of the electronic package, and at least one substantially flat insertion pressing area extends from the body opposite the stop surface and extends outwardly from the body.

  • Publication number: 20050106951
Abstract: A hybrid electrical connector includes both signal and power contacts in the same connector housing. The housing includes a plurality of axially extending passageways for receipt of the signal contacts and a plurality of axially extending cavities for receipt of the power contacts. The connector housing further includes a plurality of transversely extending slots extending through the connector housing intersecting with individual power contact cavities. Moreover, the housing includes a protrusion extending across the lower surface thereof. A Y-shaped terminal retaining member is insertable in the slots and is resiliently held in place in the slots. The power terminals include an opening therethrough forming a locking shoulder for receipt of the transversely extending locking member. In addition, the power terminals include notches for mating with the protrusion. The combination of the notches and the protrusion ensure the terminal is properly positioned within the housing.

  • Publication number: 20050009380
Abstract: A socket connector including a socket base having a slot oriented at a first angle with respect to a bottom surface of the socket base. The socket connector also includes a contact having a base beam and a retention portion. The retention portion forms an initial angle with the base beam before the contact is assembled with the socket base that differs from the first angle. The socket base receives the contact with the retention portion held in the slot such that an angle between the base beam and the retention portion is changed from the initial angle.
