  • Publication number: 20240114665
Abstract: Systems and methods for controlling airflow through a casing or shelf assembly are provided. An apparatus, according to one implementation, includes a mount plate configured to be attached to a side panel of a casing for housing network equipment. For example, the mount plate may include a window. The apparatus also includes one or more hinges arranged at an edge of the window of the mount plate and a baffle pivotably attached to the one or more hinges. The baffle can be arranged within a range of positions with respect to the mount plate to control an amount of airflow through the window. Within these range of positions, the baffle is configured to redirect the airflow in a front-to-back direction through the casing.

  • Publication number: 20110288568
Abstract: An implantable prosthesis for repairing a tissue or muscle wall defect. The prosthesis includes a perforated sheet of a biologically compatible material to cover the tissue or muscle wall defect. The perforated sheet has a plurality of perforations extending through the sheet. The perforations may be distributed across the perforated sheet in a non-grid arrangement. The perforations may be non-uniformly distributed across the perforated sheet in groups of perforations arranged in a plurality of concentric circular patterns. Each perforation may be separated from an adjacent perforation by a web of material having a length between adjacent perforations that is a predetermined multiple of the diameter of the perforations.

  • Patent number: 7621576
Abstract: A mattress display vehicle has a curbside side door that opens to a central display area. Large windows visually open the space and an independent power source enables a heating or air-conditioning unit to be operated when the vehicle engine is turned off. A rack extends between the fore and aft storage areas. One of the storage areas has a relatively tall storage compartment and can be used for storing king-sized mattresses, and the other storage has horizontal storage slots stacked with a shorter storage compartment. Two dollies can be shuttled back and forth between lower storage compartments in the storage areas, carrying different mattresses to the prospective purchaser. The dolly has telescoping members that slide in and out of cross members at each end of the dolly. Lateral bed rails are mounted on the ends of the telescoping members, and can be locked in different positions for mattresses of different widths using locking pins.

  • Patent number: 7501930
Abstract: A control system is for a lock of a door movably disposed within a frame and having a latch engageable with the frame, an interior handle connected with the latch and an exterior handle connectable with the latch. A connective mechanism is configured to releasably connect the exterior handle with the latch and an input device is configured to generate an unlock signal. A controller is coupled with the input device and configured to operate the connective mechanism such that the mechanism connects the exterior handle with the latch. The controller is selectively operable in a standard mode where the controller operates the mechanism when the controller receives the unlock signal and a lockdown mode where the controller does not operate the mechanism when receiving the unlock signal. A lockdown-input device coupled with the controller is configured to generate a lockdown signal to switch the controller to the lockdown mode.

  • Publication number: 20080172723
Abstract: A method of collecting data in a lock system. The method includes providing each user with a credential that contains user information, presenting the credential at an off-line access point, and reading the user information from the credential. The method also includes analyzing the user information at the first off-line access point to determine if access to the first off-line access point should be allowed, sending event data from the off-line access point to the credential, and selectively overwriting existing event data and storing the sent event data on the credential. The invention further includes presenting the credential at an on-line access point and reading the user data and reading the event data.

  • Publication number: 20050128050
Abstract: A door security system for controlling access through a door of a secured area by controlling a lock status of an associated locking unit of the door. The system includes an operator that operates the locking unit of the door, a key pad, a magnetic card reader, and a contact activatable data port. A data processor is responsive to the magnetic card reader, the data port, and the keypad for controlling the operator. Each of the keypad, the magnetic card reader, and the contact activatable data port can manipulate the lock status of the locking unit of the door. The data processor further comprises link means for requiring multiple entries for implementing the lock status of the door.

  • Patent number: 6371966
Abstract: A corneal incision device of the present invention includes a surgical blade and a frame having an inner surface with a configuration that is generally in the shape of a ring-like segment of a hollow sphere. The frame has an aperture therein to allow the surgical blade to be inserted through the frame beyond the inner surface. The aperture is sized and shaped to allow movement of the surgical blade in one axis. The device may have a protuberance affixed to the inner surface of the frame adjacent to the aperture disposed to distort a surface of a patient's eye when the device is selectively positioned on the eye by a practitioner. The device has provisions for holding, advancing and withdrawing the surgical blade through the aperture, disposed on the frame. The device is releasably retained on the patient's eye by fixation elements disposed on the inner surface of the frame. There is a handle affixed to the frame to facilitate the practitioner's manipulation of device.

  • Patent number: 6171324
Abstract: A corneal marker and a method of using a corneal marker are disclosed. The corneal marker includes a handle having a head coupled thereto. The inferior surface of the head includes a set of protuberances which form marking surfaces adapted to simultaneously engage corneal tissue. The marking surfaces form opposing sets of marks which allow a surgeon to form an incision of precise length and width. An alignment line on the superior and/or front surface of the marker facilitates the positioning thereof. A method of performing clear corneal surgery following the application of markings to the cornea is also provided.
