  • Publication number: 20210151174
Abstract: A system and a method of managing endoscope data are disclosed. The system receives information corresponding to endoscopes in storage, the endoscopes in usage, the endoscopes undergoing the reprocessing operation, and the endoscopes that are undergoing repair in a facility. The system captures each step in storing, usage, reprocessing, and repairing along with the identification of authorized users performing the steps. The system further captures updates made by the users upon storing, usage, reprocessing, and repairing in real-time and updates the information accordingly. The system reduces manual documentation of recording endoscopes inventory and determines how many endoscopes are currently available for operation, how many endoscopes are lying in storage, and how many endoscopes are undergoing repair or reprocessing or cleaning in real-time. Further, the system provides accountability of technicians on each step to properly document uniform and complete safety protocols.

  • Publication number: 20130193872
Abstract: A decorative lighting system designed for both residential and commercial use is provided, which offers homeowners and business owners a means by which to selectively decorate their homes and businesses in a year-round fashion. Users can install the decorative lighting either a single time or few times, and thereafter manipulate a plurality of predetermined color schemes using a pre-programmed control panel. A plurality of methods and means for controlling the programming are also disclosed.

  • Publication number: 20080306007
Abstract: Inhibitors of syndapin I binding to dynamin I (DynI) are provided. Examples include mimetics of a region of DynI including the serine residues S774 and S778 or phosphorylatable amino acids in homologous positions. Typically, the mimetics exclude or do not imitate at least one phosphorylation site provided by the serine residues or phosphorylatable amino acids. Peptide fragment inhibitors comprising or consisting of this region of DynI are also described. The inhibitors have application in the prophylaxis or treatment of neurological diseases or conditions. The inhibitors can also be used to inhibit neuronal cell vesicle trafficking and synaptic signal transmission.

  • Publication number: 20080029460
Abstract: Amine-aldehyde resins are disclosed for removing a wide variety of solids and/or ionic species from the liquids in which they are suspended and/or dissolved. These resins are especially useful as froth flotation depressants, for example in the beneficiation of value materials (e.g., bitumen, coal, or kaolin clay) to remove impurities such as sand. The resins are also useful for treating aqueous liquid suspensions to remove solid particulates, as well as for removing metallic ions in the purification of water.

  • Publication number: 20080017552
Abstract: Modified resins are disclosed for removing a wide variety of solids and/or ionic species from the liquids in which they are suspended and/or dissolved. These modified resins are especially useful as froth flotation depressants in the beneficiation of many types of materials (e.g., mineral and metal ores), including the beneficiation of impure coal comprising clay impurities, as well as in the separation of valuable bitumen from solid contaminants such as sand. The modified resins are also useful for treating aqueous liquid suspensions to facilitate the removal of solid particulates, as well as the removal of metallic ions in the purification of water. The modified resins comprise a base resin that is modified with a coupling agent, which is highly selective for binding to solid contaminants and especially siliceous materials such as sand or clay.

  • Publication number: 20060019236
Abstract: The present invention relates to an assay for detecting membrane fusion. More particularly the present invention relates to assays for detecting exocytosis and/or endocytosis wherein membrane fusion is detected by an increase in fluorescence of a lipophilic fluorescent dye due to fluorescence resonance energy transfer (FRET) occurring from one lipophilic fluorescent dye to another lipophilic fluorescent dye.
