  • Publication number: 20190338968
Abstract: This application relates to a building energy analysis and management system for measurement and verification of building performance. The system can analyze, optimize, manage, maintain, trouble shoot, and/or modify building systems, such as HVAC systems, in connection with the building energy usage. Measurements may be gathered for one or more HVAC units coupled to pressure independent valves, and sent to one or more Surge Panels that pass data to remote analysis servers, which can receive other system or external data. The analysis servers compare measurements to predicted values and can standardize the predicted values to account for external conditions. The comparison can result in difference values used to generate probable causes and optimization recommendations. The system outputs reports or other data display using a graphical user interface that can be adjusted for an anticipated user.

  • Patent number: 10434247
Abstract: A catheter insertion device (18) includes a housing (12) with a base (14), a catheter (28), an introducer needle (30) and an actuator (26) mounted within the housing. The catheter (28) and needle (30) are coupled to the actuator (26) and movable between a first position where the catheter and needle are retracted within the housing and a second position where the catheter and needle extend from the housing, and where the needle retracts into the actuator when the catheter and needle reach the second position. The actuator (26) has a detent (84) that engages a first recess (76) to require a predetermined force to depress the actuator (26) which is greater than the force necessary to slide the actuator (26) to the second position where the detent (84) engages a second recess (80) in the housing (12) to hold the actuator in the deployed position.

  • Patent number: 10265466
Abstract: A fluid infusion device is provided with a cannula spring which functions as an introducer needle, a retraction return spring, and a fluid path. A hollow cannula tubing is wound, bent and sharpened into a shape which allows it to operate as an introducer needle, retraction spring and fluid path in an infusion device. A button is used to insert the introducer needle portion of the cannula spring and a soft catheter, and once the introducer needle portion and catheter have been fully inserted, an engagement between the button and post of the base of the infusion device releases the cannula spring such that the introducer needle portion of the cannula spring automatically retracts, leaving the catheter in the body. An end of the introducer needle portion of the cannula spring remains in fluid communication with the catheter in the body to provide an uninterrupted fluid path.
