  • Publication number: 20240085988
Abstract: An athletic performance monitoring system, including a gesture recognition processor configured to execute gesture recognition processes. Interaction with the athletic performance monitoring system may be based, at least in part, on gestures performed by a user, and may offer an alternative to making selections on the athletic performance monitoring system using physical buttons, which may be cumbersome and/or inconvenient to use while performing an athletic activity. Additionally, recognized gestures may be used to select one or more operational modes for the athletic performance monitoring system, such that a reduction in power consumption may be achieved.

  • Publication number: 20230281723
Abstract: In an illustrative embodiment, systems and methods for monitoring insurance claims include identifying, based on predetermined monitoring frequency, insurance claims identified for vulnerability detection processing. Vulnerability detection features may be extracted from data files of the claims, which provide an indication of claim handling deficiencies that can cause claim leakage. A trained vulnerability detection data model can be used to detect claim handling vulnerabilities within the extracted vulnerability detection features where each of the vulnerabilities may include a likelihood of the vulnerability resulting in claim leakage. The vulnerability detection data model may be trained with a data set customized to a respective insurance provider for each claim. Vulnerability scores indicating an overall likelihood of claim leakage can be calculated for the claims based on the detected claim handling vulnerabilities.

  • Publication number: 20220230554
Abstract: A computer-aided educational system and method to further a student's understanding of a subject matter through analyzing data captured in an electronic learning system so as to determine correlation data corresponding to variables or trends which are determined to enhance, optimize, and/or improve one's learning abilities or understanding of educational content. The system and method generates reports based on the correlation data, develops statistical models that highlight learning and behavioral trends, and/or provides recommendations for adapting the learning system based on the correlation data and statistical models.

  • Patent number: 10417932
Abstract: A universal 6-DOF mems sensor combined with six degree of motion algorithms and human motion parameters permits individualized real time motion analysis of a user to enable accurate measurements. Data derived thereby is wirelessly sent for viewing to a Bluetooth® enabled smartphone or combination smartphone and eyeglass device, such as the Google Glass® headset. The sensor is worn on a wrist or ankle band or in combination with a chest mounted cardio heart rate monitor dependent on the biometric parameters measured. Typical physical exercise data gathered includes reps, sets, 10-100 yard dash times, vertical, horizontal and broad jump distances, a range of shuttle times, RAST, steps taken, distance traveled, velocity, acceleration, and calories burned. The heart rate monitor provides cardio assessment and the 6-DOF sensor measures a runner's pace and cadence data.

  • Patent number: 10238908
Abstract: A training device includes a tether having inelastic portions disposed between its ends, where each inelastic portion is separated by an elastic portion, and where each of the ends is configured for engagement with hands of a trainer. The training device may include a belt that wraps around an athlete's body, the belt including a ring on a back portion thereof having an opening for receiving an end of the tether therethrough. When the belt is secured around the athlete's body and the tether is disposed through the ring, the training device may create a coupling between the trainer and athlete when the trainer secures the ends of the tether. The coupling may be substantially released when the trainer releases one end of the tether such that the released end is substantially unrestrained to traverse through the ring thereby fully disengaging the tether from the belt.
