  • Publication number: 20250074585
Abstract: This aircraft is a Vertical Take Off and Landing Fighter type. The primary power source will be a low bypass jet turbine/engine. The auxiliary power source will be provided by axial flux electric motors. These motors will be housed in a moveable section, the EVTOL apparatus, that houses multiple turbines. These moveable sections will be attached to sides of the fuselage, extending into the dual wing. These moveable sections will move to a vertical position during take-off and landing; and be in a horizontal position during normal flight. These moveable sections will have an intake area aft, and vectoring thrust at the rear. This aircraft is a hybrid utilizing a gas jet turbine and electrical axial flux motors. The EVTOL apparatus is a compact self-contained unit capable of generating thrust through a turbine driven by Axial Flux electric motors.

  • Publication number: 20230263462
Abstract: A method and system for tissue impedance measurement are disclosed. In examples, the system comprises electrical contacts configured to be coupled to a first tissue and a first device configured to apply a first electrical signal to the first tissue via the electrical contacts. The system further comprises a second device configured to determine a first impedance phase angle of epithelial tissue of the first tissue site based on the first applied electrical signal, determine a baseline impedance phase angle of epithelial tissue corresponding to a second tissue, determine information indicative of epithelial tissue characteristics based on a ratio of the first impedance phase angle and the baseline impedance phase angle, and output information indicative of the epithelial tissue characteristics.

  • Publication number: 20220375683
Abstract: A magnetic film assembly includes a coil having a plurality of turns defining a first major boundary surface of the coil, such that when energized, the coil generates an in-plane magnetic field component in a region of interest in air proximate and substantially parallel to the first major boundary surface, the in-plane magnetic field component having a magnetic field strength H that varies between a maximum Hmax and about 10% of Hmax in the region of interest in air; and a magnetic layer disposed on the coil so as to include the region of interest, such that when energized, the coil generates a magnetic field inducing an in-plane magnetic flux density B in the magnetic layer in the region of interest that varies less than about 5% in the region of interest.

  • Patent number: 10458860
Abstract: Provided is a system for directly sensing, measuring, or monitoring the temperature of an electrical conductor (31) of a power cable (10). A temperature sensitive capacitor (21C) is disposed in direct thermal contact with the electrical conductor (31). The temperature sensitive capacitor (21C) includes a dielectric material that has a dielectric constant variable with the temperature of the electrical conductor (31). The temperature of the electrical conductor (31) can be sensed, measured, or monitored by measuring the capacitance of the temperature sensitive capacitor (21C).

  • Patent number: 9742180
Abstract: A terminal connection device comprises a contiguous body disposed onto an inner conductor. The inner conductor includes a first end mateable with a power cable connector and a second end. The body comprises a multilayer structure having an inner conductive or semiconductive layer disposed over at least a portion of the power cable connector, an insulating layer and an outer conductive or semiconductive layer. The body surrounds the first end of the inner conductor and extending towards the second end of the inner conductor. The body can also include an electrically isolated section of conductive or semiconductive material. The terminal connection device can be a fully integrated structure, having a pre-installed connection interface, or the terminal connection device can be configured as an adapter which can be mounted in the field to a connection interface.
