  • Publication number: 20240076907
Abstract: A center slide assembly for a multi-point exit device. Upper and lower spool assemblies may be displaced from first positions to second positions along an inner region of a center slide. The displacement of the spool assemblies may displace upper and lower pull cables so as to retract latch mechanisms from extended positions to retracted positions. A first latching pin may be displaced, along with the displacement of the upper spool assembly, along an abutment surface of a tilting link so as to pivotally displace the tilting link from an unlocked position to a locked position. Displacement of the lower spool assembly may displace a second latching pin to a position wherein the second latching pin may be received and retained within a jog of the tilting link when the tilting link is in the locked position, which may thereby retain the associated latch mechanism in the retracted position.

  • Publication number: 20180060327
Abstract: Calculating a failure intensity value for a group of search sessions is provided. In one example, a method for calculating a failure intensity value for a group of search sessions is provided. The method includes obtaining, by a computing device comprising a processor device, the group of search sessions, where each search session of the group of search sessions includes user input that identifies a search query. The method further includes classifying each search session of the group of search sessions into one or more result categories, where each result category is indicative of an outcome of a search session. The method additionally includes calculating the failure intensity value for the group of search sessions based on a combination of weighted values of the group of search sessions, where the weighted values are based on the one or more result categories of the group of search sessions.

  • Patent number: 8217769
Abstract: Systems and methods for actuating a tactile stimulation in response to detecting a specific event associated with exposure to a particular environmental or physiological condition are described herein. A tactile stimulation device, according to one of several implementations, comprises a sensing layer, an actuating layer, and an adhesive layer. The sensing layer, which is sensitive to exposure to a particular condition, is configured to sense when a specific event associated with exposure to the particular condition occurs. The actuating layer is configured to provide a tactile stimulation to a human subject when the specific event occurs. The adhesive layer is configured to affix the sensing layer and actuating layer with respect to a surface portion of the skin of the human subject such that the human subject can sense the tactile stimulation provided by the actuating layer. The sensing layer, actuating layer, and adhesive layer can be bonded together to form a relatively flat structure.
