  • Publication number: 20150012278
Abstract: A system and method for transferring data to a customer relationship management platform. A system for transferring data to a customer relationship management platform includes a server computer which is adapted to connect to a network and further includes an application residing on the server. The application may be configured to include the customer relationship platform. The application may also be configured to communicate with a communication device, such as a mobile phone, for example, through the network. The application may detect a voice command from a user using the communication device, then connect the user to the customer relationship management platform. The application may then take an action with the customer relationship management platform based on the voice command, such as making a sales call, populating the customer relationship management platform database with sales data or prospective customer data, or taking some administrative action.

  • Patent number: 8761153
Abstract: An Internet Access Device (IAD) is pre-configured with first, generic configuration information designating the address of a configuration server with which it will establish a communication session when the IAD is first powered up and connected to the Internet. The configuration server then downloads a second, specific configuration to the IAD, such as a hotline number designating a specific speech server, and creates a network data record to link a unique identifier for the IAD, such as a serial number, with a user account. When the IAD goes off-hook, the IAD connects directly to a speech server using the second configuration. The speech server provides a smart dial tone, such as a voice prompt. The speech server responds to a verbal request spoken by a user by performing a corresponding activity, such as placing a telephone call or providing voicemail access.

  • Patent number: 8472988
Abstract: The invention is apparatus for communicating between a subscriber and a second party in a 2-way texting system. The apparatus includes a hosted application system, having a host application server, storage, communication apparatus and a hosted application. A subscriber's 2-way communication device is coupled to the communication apparatus and assigned a unique designator. The hosted application system is coupled to receive a message and designated recipient from a message originator's 2-way communication device. The message originator is one of the subscriber and the second party, and the recipient is the other of the subscriber and the second party. The hosted application converts the message to a designated format and delivers the message using the unique designator, to the recipient's 2-way communication device. The message can be responded to by the recipient using the unique designator.

  • Publication number: 20120096018
Abstract: A method for selecting music and directing disposal thereof includes a step of providing a service with a database having music information stored therein and a user interface platform coupled to the database and accessible through a telecommunication device. A communication is received including a request for music from an external telecommunication device. An instruction is provided to the external telecommunication device for a song designator including one of a title, artist and/or lyric by one of voiced information, typed information, and a music source. The song designator is received from the external telecommunication device and the song designator is compared to music information stored in the database to determine the music requested. The telecommunication device is queried to determine a desired disposal of the requested music. The method can be performed with videos—search, upload, share, watch/listen.

  • Publication number: 20080060203
Abstract: The present disclosure provides an apparatus and method of combining pliers and tubing cutters. The resulting tools offers synergistic results that are unachievable with separate tools. In at least one embodiment, the tubing cutter pliers can be operated by rotating the pliers' handles, cutting the tubing with a cutter wheel on the pliers, and gripping the tubing using the same pliers as was used to cut the tubing. Some intervening steps, particularly, removal of the tubing cutter and replacement of the tubing cutter with pliers, can be eliminated with a resultant increase in efficiency and productivity. In some embodiments, an adjusting mechanism can be provided to offer increased control over the amount of pressure exerted on the tubing by the tubing cutter pliers during the cutting process.

  • Patent number: 7177402
Abstract: Embodiments of the invention are directed to automated reception systems that may receive voice information indicating action to be taken by the system. The automated reception system may receive a call and transmit a speech message to the caller identifying actions that the caller may ask the system to take. The caller may verbally select an action for the system to execute. Possible actions may depend upon the system context and information about possible actions may be provided to the caller through dynamically generated messages. The caller may also access voicemail or electronic mail messages using embodiments of the invention. Furthermore, in some embodiments, a caller may be able to control a separate communication session using voice or other commands input during a telephone session.
