  • Publication number: 20020103008
Abstract: A docking device, also known as a cradle, used in docking a PDA (personal digital assistant) for data synchronization with a host computer, includes an antenna for providing cordless communication between the PDA and the host computer. The cordless communication is established without docking the PDA in the cradle and without the use of a wireless network or carrier. Thus, both economical and convenient data communication can be performed between the PDA and the host computer using the cradle.
