  • Patent number: 7706015
Abstract: Methods and apparatus are provided for processing a print job including a plurality of raster image processed pages. A tab page is created that includes a tab image located at a predetermined position in the tab page, the predetermined position associated with a tab position on tab stock. The tab page is raster image processed, and the rasterized tab page is inserted at a selected position in the print job. The tab image is detected on the rasterized tab page at the predetermined location, and then the rasterized tab image is positioned at the associated tab position.

  • Patent number: 7097369
Abstract: Method and apparatus for inserting tabs in a print job. A method for inserting tab sheets in a print job is disclosed. First, a position is selected within a document to insert a tab sheet, which document includes a plurality of sheets each with a document defined image space associated therewith. A tab sheet is then created as a rasterized tab sheet image that has a rasterized tab specific image disposed in a predetermined location on the rasterized image. The created tab image is then inserted in the document after rasterizing thereof in the selected position.

  • Patent number: 6836992
Abstract: A bird repelling device has an elongate housing having a slide chamber that extends longitudinally from a top end to a bottom end of the elongate housing. The elongate housing also has a cap positioned adjacent to the top end of the slide chamber. A plurality of rod apertures extend through the cap. The bird repelling device also includes a slide mechanism that is adapted to slidably engage the slide chamber to slide between a retracted position and an extended position. A plurality of bird repelling rods are each attached to the slide mechanism and extend through one of the plurality of rod apertures. The bird repelling device also includes top and bottom attachment loops for attaching the bird repelling device to a halyard of a mast.

  • Patent number: 6825943
Abstract: The present invention disclosed and claimed herein comprises a system and method for parallel conversion processing of a print job in a print system having a plurality of RIP engines, comprising the steps of: defining the print job for RIP of select portions of the print job in parallel; partitioning the print job into select portions according to defined boundaries; generating a substitute RIP instruction for each select portion of the print job; and processing the RIP requirements of each select portion in an assigned one of the plurality of RIP engines according to the substitute RIP instruction.

  • Patent number: 6017462
Abstract: A sink liner apparatus and a method for using the apparatus for removing plaster from waste water has a catch basin to catch the waste water contaminated with plaster and direct it into a sedimentation basin. The sedimentation basin allows the plaster to precipitate into the sedimentation basin, which can be periodically cleaned or replaced. The waste water overflows through a sedimentation basin draining aperture into a sink basin. The sink basin supports the sedimentation basin and also directs the waste water into a sink draining aperture for separate disposal.

  • Patent number: 5351196
Abstract: The present invention relates to processes for the automatic generation of numerical control (NC) tool paths in a CAD/CAM environment. The present invention operates on mechanical parts described as solid models. The process employs well-defined solid models of the part to be machined and the raw stock from which it will be machined. The volumetric difference between the stock and the part defines the material (delta volumes) that must be cut away during the actual machining process. Delta volumes are solid models, and users (or an expert system) can subdivide delta volumes into smaller volumes that are consistent with a manufacturing process plan. A delta volume and a user-defined strategy for machining the delta volume are then input to NC algorithms. The algorithms generate NC tool paths that remove as much delta volume material as possible. Tool volumes are automatically generated from NC tool paths to represent the volume traversed by the cutting tool.
