  • Patent number: 5685060
Abstract: A workpiece holding assembly for a machine apparatus is provided having an adjustable rail clamp attached to a rail which is secured to a work table of the apparatus. The rail is provided with front and back side referencing surfaces and the rail clamp includes an inner channel having an inside wall which comprises a reference surface for engagement with either the front or back side surfaces of the rail. The rail clamp includes a rail fastener means which functions to create a downward and inward force component which securely draws the inside wall against the rail reference surfaces to ensure a solid rigid connection. The rail clamp further is provided with a leveler connector means providing a quick release with a leveler head. The leveler head is provided with a connector portion that forms a corresponding connection with the leveler connector means.

  • Patent number: 5595377
Abstract: A machine tool subassembly that holds a workpiece at a predetermined position within the operating area of a machining apparatus is attached to a presetting stand outside of the machine for purposes of aligning a workpiece during the time the machine is operating on another workpiece. The presetting stand is attached to a rail on the flat top surface of a support table. The stand and rail have mating reference surfaces that correspond to the orthogonal axis of the machine. The stand includes upper and lower joint parts which engage an adjustment part of the subassembly. The joint parts include reference surfaces aligned with the machine axis so that when the subassembly engages one of the joint parts, the workpiece secured therein my be aligned along two of the three orthogonal axis of the machine. When the subassembly is connected to the second joint part, it will be aligned precisely ninety degrees to the first joint part.

  • Patent number: 5551676
Abstract: A unitary vise body is provided having a flat upper reference surface extending between opposing first and second ends. A first stationary jaw extends upwardly from the reference surface at the first end of the vise. A second stationary jaw extends upwardly from the reference surface at a location about half-way between the first and second ends. Both the first and second stationary jaws have workpiece abutment surfaces that extend from the reference surface at an angle that corresponds to the reference surface angle of a workpiece clamping extension. The area between the first and second stationary jaws defines a first clamping region and includes a movable jaw which is actuated by a threaded shaft that extends through a threaded opening in the lower portion of the jaw. The area of the vise extending from the second stationary jaw to the opposing end of the vise defines a second clamping region.

  • Patent number: 4480999
Abstract: An assembly of parts for attachment to a firearm that provides a kickback reaction when the trigger is pulled without the use of live ammunition. A power source operates a drive means attached to the firearm to push back a slide which cocks the firearm hammer. A control means is interposed between the drive means and power source to regulate operation in response to the hammer position.
