    Abstract: Dispensing apparatus (10) for use in a pressurized dispensing container (12) comprises a valve (18) mounted in a cup member (11) and an elastomeric vessel (13) forming a collapsible chamber (23). The vessel (13) is attached to the mounting and depends from the cup cylindrically surrounding the valve body (18). The vessel is attached to the cup member by having a flange (14) which is thermally bonded to the thermoplastic layer (5) covering the internal surface of the cup member. The flange (14) includes grooves (9) which prevent contamination from sputtering during thermal bonding. The apparatus has application for medical products including edible foam dispensed from containers having an internal fill pressure.
