  • Publication number: 20200167701
Abstract: Systems and methods of managing use of furniture items, such as lounge chairs, in an area, such as an area including a swimming pool, allow users to reserve furniture items that are at times rearranged. Furniture items are detected in the area, positions of the detected furniture items are determined, and a map of furniture items is generated based on the determined positions. The map of the furniture items is then displayed to a user. Selection of a furniture item is received and a reservation record associated with the selected furniture item is updated to indicate that the furniture item is reserved. A selection of an item to purchase may be received by a first computing device from which a furniture is reserved. In response to the selection of the item to purchase, a message may be transmitted to a second computing device to deliver the selected item to the physical position of the furniture item associated with the first computing device.

  • Publication number: 20180353819
Abstract: In one embodiment, a golf flagstick is disclosed including a resilient material that absorbs force delivered by a golf ball to reduce spacing between the ball and the flagstick after the ball comes to rest. In another embodiment, a golf flagstick is disclosed including a shaft, and an outer cover positioned about the shaft that includes the resilient material. In another embodiment, the outer cover may be a standalone item usable with an existing golf flagstick. In another embodiment, the outer cover may be provided as a component of a kit to retrofit an existing golf flagstick. In another embodiment, a method of increasing force absorption of a golf flagstick is disclosed to reduce spacing between the flagstick and a golf ball striking the flagstick after the ball comes to rest. The method includes adding a resilient material to the flagstick to absorb force delivered by the ball.

  • Publication number: 20160100631
Abstract: In one aspect of the disclosure, a temperature control unit (TCU) is described for use with a personal vaporizer including a tank that receives a fluid. The TCU includes an inner surface including a first metallic material, an outer surface including a second, dissimilar metallic material, and a power source in electrical communication with the inner and outer surfaces such that current is flowable from the power source to the inner and outer surfaces, whereby one of the inner and outer surfaces increases in temperature, and the other of the inner and outer surfaces decreases in temperature. In another aspect of the disclosure, a refillable tank is described for use with a personal vaporizer. The tank includes a body that is configured and dimensioned to retain a fluid, and a TCU that is connected to the body to facilitate heating and/or cooling of the body and/or the fluid.
