  • Publication number: 20150352952
Abstract: Systems, methods and computer-storage media are provided for displaying a real-time image in a cockpit of an aircraft. Use of a synthetic vision application is provided with a gradient-type feature such that a level of synthetic enhancements applied to an image may be adjusted to a synthetic vision application value that is less than 100 percent. The synthetic vision enhancement may be overlaid with the original image, according to the synthetic vision application value, to generate a modified image. Additional information may overlay the original image with the synthetic vision application such as a three-dimensional weather representation. The synthetic vision application may be used in conjunction with a high-definition camera to generate the original image. The modified image may be updated in real-time such that an updated view is continuously modified with an updated synthetic vision enhancement to provide accurate real-time views.

  • Publication number: 20150348420
Abstract: Systems, methods and computer-storage media are provided for enhancing awareness in an aircraft using a touch-screen instrument panel. In one aspect, a warning is displayed peripherally in the panel in a way that attracts attention without interfering with the use of the panel for other purposes. In another aspect, a crew member is directed by highlighting through menus to a screen that enables the problem causing the warning to be corrected. In another aspect, parameters (e.g., temperatures, pressures) are displayed along with oriented graphical representations of system components. In yet another aspect, aircraft parameters are displayed in a historical context so that the user has a time-line context for a value at issue.

  • Publication number: 20140068571
Abstract: A facility is disclosed including a firmware, which calculates at least one electrical variable, having measuring inputs at which analog electrical signals are present, having a hardware controlled by the firmware, and having data with a number of interfaces, which allow for data to be input and output and for communication. It is proposed in an embodiment that the hardware be used as a platform for an application which extends the facility by a functionality and is created as application software, which an interpreter converts into a machine-readable code prior to loading such that a mechanism transmits the code to the facility, such that transmitted application runs in a predetermined environment, which the application cannot leave, and that the application can access data, the inputs and outputs and the communication by way of a programming interface which are permitted by the programming interface to a limited degree.

  • Patent number: 8553496
Abstract: Seismic acquisition systems are disclosed that allow contemporaneous seismic sources to be separated from a composite signal comprising two or more constituent seismic sources. In some embodiments, a representation of the composite signal may be developed that includes a noise contribution of undesired signals present in the composite signal. Additionally, an operator, referred to herein as an “annihilator”, may be developed such that it may be conditioned and inverted to minimize undesired noise contributions in the composite signal. This inversion may assist in recovering the constituent seismic sources from the composite signal. Furthermore, in some embodiments, the accuracy with which the constituent source measurements are approximated may be increased by implementing them as random sweeps having a conventional length.

  • Publication number: 20130159427
Abstract: Systems and methods to provide integrated incident management for hybrid landscapes are provided. In example embodiments, an incident ticket is received, at a communication hub, from a first component of a first landscape indicating an incident. A second component in a second landscape is determined to which to route incident information including the incident ticket. The determination of the second component is based on an attribute extracted from the incident ticket. The incident information is transmitted to the second component by the communication hub. A solution for the incident ticket is received from the second component based on the second component having the solution or is received from a component of a service backbone based on the component of the service backbone having the solution by the communication hub, and the solution is forwarded to at least one of the first component or the second component.
