  • Publication number: 20070146643
Abstract: A segmented display system in which the display devices are arranged in a N×1 array is described. The segmented display system includes a plurality of projection devices that each project a portion of an image on a corresponding one of the display devices in the N×1 array. Distortion at the seams between display devices in the N×1 array are minimized by aligning each projection device using a lens mounting based on the position of such projection device in the N×1 array.

  • Publication number: 20070109502
Abstract: A projection system including an integrator with an output end having a matrix of output windows therein. A pattern of red, green and blue monochromatic filters are disposed on the output windows passing a matrix of red, green, and blue monochromatic pixels of light. An imager modulates the pixels of monochromatic light A light shift device shifts the matrix of monochromatic pixels of light to temporally form a pattern of overlying pixels of light of different colors, viewable as a color image.

  • Publication number: 20060075434
Abstract: A television system for receiving a plurality of digitally-encoded television programs includes circuitry for selecting a particular digital data transmission channel from a plurality of digital data transmission channels containing a desired digitally-encoded television program in response to a control signal, at least one of the data transmission channels also including television program schedule data. The system also includes user-operable data entry circuitry for entering data, and a controller for generating the above-noted control signal in response to user-entered data. The controller selects a virtual channel from a plurality of virtual channels in response to user-entered data, each virtual channel being subject to reassignment to a different one of said a plurality of digital data transmission channels, the television program schedule data defining the relationship of each of the television programs to respective ones of the plurality of digital data transmission channels.

  • Publication number: 20050163318
Abstract: A method for protecting the digital output signal of a security module, comprising the steps of: receiving a scrambled digital signal from a source external to said security module, recovering at least one transport scramble control flag from the scrambled digital signal, descrambling said received scrambled signal to generate a descrambled signal, monitoring the at least one transport scramble control flag, generating a scrambling key in response to said monitored at least one transport scramble control flag, and scrambling said descrambled signal using said scrambling key to generate a re-scrambled signal. The present invention also includes a conditional access system comprising a host device and a security device coupled to the host device, such that the security device includes at least one transport scramble control flag modification circuit. By monitoring the transport scramble control flag as content passes through the security module, protection of the content can be securely maintained.

  • Publication number: 20050068952
Abstract: A method and apparatus for processing a packetized data stream comprising audio and video components and program guide information. The program guide information has a predetermined service identifier and includes service identifier information associated with audio and video program components. The program guide information is used to identify service identifiers associated with a selected program. The identified service identifiers are used to acquire data packets associated with the selected program. The acquired data packets are processed in accordance with a video signal standard to generate output signals representative of the selected program.
