  • Patent number: 10611484
Abstract: A passenger seat arrangement for installation in an aircraft comprises at least one seating unit comprising a backrest element and a seat element pivotable relative to the backrest element between a resting position and a position of use. The passenger seat arrangement also has a support frame which bears against the at least one seating unit and which is able to be connected in a load-bearing manner to a structure of the aircraft. The support frame has at least one mechanical interface which, in each case, is assigned to a seating unit and is designed to fasten different mutually exchangeable modular units in a releasable and load-transmitting manner to the support frame.

  • Patent number: 8662265
Abstract: An energy absorber for aircraft, which includes one or more energy absorber elements and a housing, whereby the energy absorber elements can absorb crash impulses by plastic deformation within the housing. Thus, the load on the primary structure and the respective inboard devices is limited, which can lead to an increased, passive safety of the passengers and a weight reduction.

Inventors: Dirk Humfeldt, Michael Harriehausen, Jan Schröder, Martin Sperber, Michael Demary
  • Patent number: 8573372
Abstract: A force level control for an energy absorber is provided for aircraft, and includes an adjustment element and a housing, whereby via the adjustment element, a bending radius of the energy absorber element is continuously adjustable in the housing.

  • Patent number: 7527221
Abstract: A mounting device for aircraft comprises an energy absorber and wherein the mounting device is mounted between a primary structure of the aircraft and the interior equipment. In this way the load acting on an interior equipment connected to the primary structure of the aircraft by way of the mounting device can be limited if a crash impulse occurs. The load acting on the primary structure is also limited, which can result in enhanced passive safety for the passengers and in weight reduction.
