Abstract: Embodiments provide a software model which allows a user to modify a software program in substantially the same manner as the original programmer or developer. In one embodiment, declarative code and user customizations are isolated from other code and structure of the software program. The isolated customizations can be quickly and efficiently examined to determine whether any changes or other modifications have been made to the software program. Additionally, the isolated changes can be efficiently located and applied when updating or upgrading the software program to persist any customized changes made to the software program.

Abstract: Dispersion polymers composed of a compound or of several compounds of the formula ICH.sub.2 .dbd.CR.sub.1 --CO--NH--(CH.sub.2).sub.n --CH(OR.sub.2)OR.sub.3Iin whichn is 1-6, andR.sub.1 is H or CH.sub.3 and R.sub.2 and R.sub.3 are identical or different and denote --(CH.sub.2).sub.m --CH.sub.3 with m denoting 0-7 or --C(X)(Y)Z with X, Y and Z denoting (CH.sub.2).sub.p CH.sub.3, and p denoting 1-3, where X, Y and Z can be identical or different, and, where appropriate, of another vinyl derivative or of other vinyl derivatives in an aqueous medium, a process for the preparation thereof, and the use thereof for the preparation of conjugates with biologically active substances are described.

Abstract: Dispersion polymers composed of latex, which have on the particle surface a copolymer composed of monomers having terminal acetals of the formula ICH.sub.2 .dbd.CR.sub.1 --CO--NH--(CH.sub.2).sub.n --CH(OR.sub.2) (OR.sub.3) Iin whichn=1-6;R.sub.1 =H or CH.sub.3, andR.sub.2 and R.sub.3 are identical or different withR.sub.2 and R.sub.3 =--(CH.sub.2).sub.m --CH.sub.3 (m=0-7) orR.sub.2 and R.sub.3 =--CXYZ, X, Y and Z being (CH.sub.2).sub.p --CH.sub.3 and p being 1-3, with X, Y, Z being identical or different,and betaine compounds of the formula IICH.sub.2 .dbd.CR--(CH.sub.2).sub.a --(CO--X).sub.b --Z--(CH.sub.2).sub.c --Y IIwithR=H or CH.sub.3,X=--NH or --0,Y=SO.sub.3.sup.- or COO.sup.- ##STR1## a=0-6, b=0-1,c=1-12,are very suitable for the preparation of biologically active latex reagents which have a particularly high detection sensitivity and stability.
