  • Patent number: 11940148
Abstract: The present disclosure is related to a dual ring gas burner wherein the outer ring includes multipoint injection with bottom breathing and the inner ring works with top breathing. Two flame rings are included along with burner ports on the caps. As a result, better heating distribution is achieved along with greater ease in cleaning and combined simmer functions with high ratings by having the outer ring gas flow not interfering with the inner ring.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: October 28, 2021
Date of Patent: March 26, 2024
    Assignee: Electrolux Appliances Aktiebolag

  • Publication number: 20220252271
Abstract: A burner assembly is disclosed including a burner head for generating heat via an electrical heating element and an annular burner head surrounding the burner head for generating heat via the burning of a gas/air mixture. The burner head may be used for simmering with the electrical heating element including a silicon nitride element for generating the low heat required for simmering. The annular burner head may be used for generating more heat than the burner head.

  • Patent number: 11359818
Abstract: A gas burner includes a base with a first body and a raised annular band on an upper surface of the first body. A flange is formed about an outer periphery of the first body wherein the raised annular band and the flange define a first annular recess therebetween. A first notch is formed in a lower surface of the first body and extends through the flange and communicates with the first annular recess. The first notch is adapted to accommodate spark ignitor therein. A slot is formed in the raised annular band. A first cap includes a peripheral side wall having a distal end dimensioned to be received within the first annular recess. A gap between the distal end and a bottom wall of the first annular recess when the first cap is received therein provides fluid communication between the slot and the first notch.

  • Patent number: 8057223
Abstract: A burner assembly for a gas powered cooking appliance is provided. The burner assembly may include a burner body including a central region and a plurality of radiating extensions extending radially outward from the central region. The burner assembly may include a burner cap with a central region and a plurality of radiating extensions extending radially outward from the central region. The burner cap is positioned on top of the burner body when the burner is assembled. The burner cap may include at least one overhang positioned on the outer perimeter of the central region and between an adjacent pair of radiating extensions. The at least one overhang forms a gap between the exterior wall of the burner body and the interior wall of the overhang. This gap, or flame stabilization chamber, provides for collection of gases and flame that aid in maintaining the flame during low temperature operation.
