  • Publication number: 20240359376
Abstract: Embodiments herein relate to hollow profiles and methods of preparing the same for joining operations. A method herein can include placing a dam within a channel defined by the hollow profile, fitting a die block over an end of the channel, and injecting a flowable composition through an injection port into the channel. Another method can include defining a volume within a first member using at least one flow control device, filling the defined volume with a flowable polymeric composition, allowing the flowable polymeric composition to solidify to form a solid portion in the first member, and mechanically modifying the solid portion to define a joining surface suitable for joining to the second member. Other embodiments are also included herein.

  • Publication number: 20240200397
Abstract: Embodiments herein relate to systems and methods for securing panel members to frame members and fenestration systems including the same. In a first aspect, a fenestration system can be included having a panel assembly, a sill assembly, and one or more sill panel clips. The one or more sill panel clips can be disposed on a surface of the sill assembly such as an upper surface. The one or more sill panel clips can secure the panel assembly to the sill assembly. The fenestration system can also include a plurality of jamb members. The plurality of jamb members can include a first side jamb, a second side jamb, and a head jamb. The fenestration system can also include a plurality of jamb panel clips, wherein the plurality of jamb panel clips secure the panel assembly to the plurality of jamb members. Other embodiments are also included herein.

  • Publication number: 20240183216
Abstract: Embodiments herein relate to self-cinching devices for fenestration units. In a first aspect, a self-cinching clip device can be included having a base plate. The base plate can include a screw boss. The screw boss can define an oblong fastener aperture and a sloped surface. The sloped surface can be adjacent the oblong fastener aperture. The self-cinching clip device can include a foot member. The foot member can be disposed on a first end of the base plate. The self-cinching clip device can further include a retention lip. The retention lip can be disposed on a second end of the base plate. The sloped surface can have a first side and a second side opposite the first side along an axis interconnecting the foot member and the retention lip. The first side of the sloped surface can have a larger diameter than the second side.
