  • Patent number: 12653728
Abstract: Absorbent articles may comprise first and second belts. Longitudinally opposing end regions of the absorbent chassis are connected with the first and second belts, and a portion of the chassis that overlaps an inner wearer facing surface of the first belt may define a chassis overlap region. In turn, the chassis overlap region comprises an adherence region, where adhesive is positioned between the chassis and the inner wearer facing surface of the first belt and permanently bonds the chassis with the first belt. The adherence region may comprise a first adherence zone adjacent an inner edge of the first belt, a second adherence zone adjacent a first end edge of the chassis, and a third adherence zone positioned longitudinally between the first adherence zone and the second adherence zone. The adherence region may define a separable region, which may be in the form of a pocket.

  • Patent number: 12642714
Abstract: Patterned fibrous substrates having a plurality of individual fibers, a first region, and a second region are provided. The patterned fibrous substrates have a plurality of individual fibers of the first region having a first diameter and a plurality of individual fibers of the second region have a second diameter, wherein the first diameter is less than the second diameter. The individual fibers of the first region and the individual fibers of the second region are substantially free of bonds, other than primary bonds. The first region has a first C.I.E. L* score, and the second region has a second C.I.E. L* score, according to the Color Test Method. The first C.I.E. L* score is different than the second C.I.E. L* score.

  • Publication number: 20260108397
Abstract: The present disclosure relates to absorbent articles having a first belt and a second belt with one or more frangible pathways. A frangible pathway may extend between a proximal terminus on an inner edge of a belt and a distal terminus on an outer edge of the belt. A grip region comprising an accessibility opening may be positioned between the inner and outer edges of the belt. The frangible pathway may comprise a first tear zone and a second tear zone extending from the accessibility opening to the distal terminus and to the proximal terminus. Such frangible pathway configurations provide a feature that allows a belt of a diaper pant to be relatively easily torn along the frangible pathway when removing the diaper pant from a wearer. The frangible pathway may be configured to allow a caregiver to initiate and/or completely tear the first belt with one hand.

  • Publication number: 20250345213
Abstract: The present disclosure relates to methods for manufacturing absorbent articles, and in particular, to methods for making elastomeric laminates that may be accumulated and subsequently refreshed to be used as components of absorbent articles. In some configurations, the elastomeric laminate may be wound onto a roll and may comprise elastic strands bonded in a stretched state with a first substrate, wherein the first substrate on the roll comprises a roll substrate strain value that is greater than zero. During the process of assembling absorbent articles, the elastomeric laminate may be unwound from the roll and first discrete contiguous connections between the strands and the first substrate may then be fractured and disrupted to form second discrete contiguous connections by applying localized tensions to the elastomeric laminate.

  • Publication number: 20250318961
Abstract: The present disclosure relates to methods and apparatuses for assembling disposable pant diapers having contoured elastic belts. During the assembly process, opposing end regions of chassis are connected with the elastic belts in the form of first and second continuous elastic laminates. The chassis are then folded to place the elastic laminates into a facing relationship. The inner longitudinal edges of one or both the elastic laminates are then cut to define a contoured shape. Discrete pieces of trim material may be removed from one or both the elastic laminates, and the first and second continuous elastic laminates are cut in the cross direction to form discrete pant diapers. In some configurations, a single knife both removes the trim material and cuts the elastic laminates in cross direction. And in some configurations, a first knife removes the trim material and a second knife cuts the elastic laminates in cross direction.

  • Publication number: 20250318964
Abstract: Aspects of the present disclosure relate to absorbent articles with front and back waist panels having different stretch characteristics. A first waist panel may be connected with a chassis and positioned in a first waist region, and a second waist panel may be connected with the chassis and positioned in a second waist region. In some configurations, the first waist panel may comprise a first structural feature that is not included in the second waist panel or may comprise a first structural feature is different from a second structural feature included in the second waist panel. As such, the first structural feature provides different stretch characteristics between the first waist panel and the second waist panel.
